Started 12 weeks ago muscle pains in both arms and legs, felt awful but carried on I was out walking my dogs and thought as I got half way around I feel weird so checked my levels which had risen instead of going down as they normally did when I was exercising, so I did no more but rang the Doctors and asked for emergency appointment which i got that day. Blood tests were taken and a day later I was asked to go back as the Doctor wished to see me about the blood test results, Inflamatory markers were sky high and I was asked to go to Hospital to the Ambulatory Ward where further blood tests were taken. I was told I had to go0 back on the Saturday which I did and further blood tests were taken and I was given antibiotics, I also had an Iron blood tests to determine if needed iron infusion. I went home and as I got home the Hospital rang asking me to back for an infusion I requested to go in the following morning which I did and I had a Feritin infusion. I have had another Feritin infusion since and told to take Vit D and folic acid as both were shown to be depleted in my blood tests . I still have the darn pains in muscles as no pain killers were given and no diagnosis made so am taking Paracetomol in the hopes it goes away. Can not walk my dog's like I normally do so they have a small walk but by the afternoon I am laid on the bed tired out again. What I am asking is " Does anyone else have these pains in muscles and now in certain Joints and if so what do you take for it

Are you taking a Statin? This can be a common side effect of them, if so ask for a change of type, take coenzyme Q10. I had terrible muscle pain with them

Yes, one possibility may be if you are taking a statin. Side effects with them don't always appear until after several months - over 2 years in the case of my skin rash (verified as due to statin by the hospital dermatologist from a biopsy).
I agree with @lessci that statins deplete vit co Q10 and so may cause fatigue.

Unfortunately Statins can have terrible side effects including brain fog and body pain. They also raise blood sugar, so not much good for diabetics.

The Doctor said she would find a different one for me but to be honest I do not think I will be taking any as I still have pains in muscles and now elbow joints and knees, I think maybe a bad idea to make it worse

After all those test that you wrote about on Friday, did the doctors come to a diagnosis? I think that it is good to listen to your own body, as well as the doctors' recommendations, and then make up your own mind.

Have you had your inflammatory markers rechecked since the first high ones? Might be worth you asking to get these rechecked as there are some conditions that can cause those pains?

My inflammatory markers have been raised for about 8 years now, mine is caused by a raised white cell count, in comparison to red cells. Every year when tested i would get the fishing phone call from doctors, obviously asking questions related to Leukaemia. It took a Locum to actually look back though my records, and see that they had been the same for 6 years. Apparently this is a lot more common than most realise.
Hopefully you'll get to the bottom of your current problems, like you my faith in GPs especially has plummeted since Covid. When my legs were crippling me, a very young GP went the whole mile to find the problem, and get me referred. where within 1 week i was in and had a Femoral Artery bypass. as was pointed out to me by other medical staff when i praised him. "Ah but he's still young and isn't jaded yet"

I reacted badly to Atorvastatin, and stopped taking them and Metformin after 5 weeks or so, but the last ache did not go for 18 months. There was a gradual reduction in intensity and which bits hurt, but I was in a bit of a state for a while.

Litterbugs war mongers hate mongers propagandists.
I'm sure there's more.
A few years ago I ended up being blue lighted to AnE with those exact same symptoms.
It was Statins.
Doc kept trying different ones but they are all statins.

I was only on them 6 months or less.
The last few years I've stayed well away from them and no longer get those symptoms.
Please do some simple youtube searches.
In place I have three spoonful's of extra virgin olive oil a day sometimes replaced by extra virgin coconut oil.
I take raw ginger daily I drink clove tea in the evenings my readings now are pretty good.
Do the research.
