There was a discussion earlier in the year about being denied test strips....as I have been! Says waste of time to test!!

soaps on telly and people talking about the characters as if they were real.
I too have been buying from Abbott for quite a long time; their service is exemplary. Order arrives next day if phoned in the morning. Batteries are free too and I got a free upgrade from my Freestyle Mini to the Lite

Ps the Freestle Lite is an excellent meter too, as long as you are content with only 3 buttons and a nice clear readout using minimal blood drop

I got a free CareSens meter from (Company name removed. Google for info) and buy strips direct from their website. They charge £12.75 for strips which is much better than buying fromt he chemist also. Best wishes to all.

Hiya,

New to the Forum. I have 9 unopened boxes of 'Freestyle Optium' testing strips which I no longer need. The expirary date is April 2013. I have tried to return these to my pharmacy and offered them to my GP surgery but they could not take them.

I really don't want to dispose of them before offering them to a UK based diabetic who may need them. I am not selling them nor do I want them to be sold on outside the UK. I'm just looking for a genuine diabetic who could take them off my hands (I will post them at my own cost).

Please get in touch if you could use them.

Many thanks,

Julia.

I buy these strips every month. Pay no delivery charge and they arrive the next day by the normal post. The only time I have ever been charged was when I chose a different method of delivery. I no longer order from the website but directly so don't know what the alternatives are. Just choosing standard Po delivery could save you some money.
