testing my bg meter

hi i have a accu chek aviva bg system i have heared that you should test them i have controll solution but i dont know how to use it and the instructions are not very clear can anyone help ???

I don't use an accuk check but check if there is a range of values on the side of your test stick container.If there is you check by putting control solution onto a stick,just the same as if you are testing your blood.check with the control values on the side of the container and if the numbers are within that range then your meter is giving an accurate reading.
You could also take your meter down to your diabetic nurse and check with a similar meter there to see if the range is OK.
