A warning for men. Radio 4 have just had a piece how overweight men a lot of them with diabetes are taking testosterone as weight loss.
A 60 000 men study shows that your heart attack risk is huge.

This applies for pretty much all testosterone use as it is being used as a male version of the pill for all sorts of reasons.

Thanks for the info. I've just listened to the relevant part of the programme. While it does sound as if it is being overprescribed for the wrong reasons, as a result of heavy marketing from the drug companies, the speaker did admit that "it (testosterone) works really well for men with a defined deficiency …..where they are being returned to the normal state". So, gentlemen, if you are taking it for the right reasons, i.e. you are short of it, rather than just using it as a super drug, don't panic yet.
