No, it's ambiguous. It doesnt state T1 or T2.... (or if you like, insulin dependent/non-insulin dependent)Well this is what I'm going for. Pretty unambiguous I think?...
Which is why I wanted something clear and obvious. The other thing to be aware of is that medics may not pay attention to medical tattoos.
Is the no penicillin because T1 cannot have it ? Or is that a different issue?View attachment 24711 @Jeremy_Wood . You're correct in thinking that a blue circle is an international symbol for diabetes.
Unfortunately it isn't overly popular and probably less well known.
Personally I went for the Rod of Asclepius. This is an international recognised symbol for medical alert.
It's often spotted on ambulances and a lot of other things involving medicine.
A google search would probably give you a better insight.
The symbol is not specific to diabetes, what people do is add relevant text. As my personal tattoo.
You have a good memory @Mr_Pot
Sadly you may be correct Tim. But as with most things diabetic, we live in hope. The other thing to be aware of is that medics may not pay attention to medical tattoos.
Shouldn't that say " I am a person with diabetes" ?Well this is what I'm going for. Pretty unambiguous I think?...
I would like DNR on my chest... too coward to get it done though...
