The press are bashing us again!

I have to agree wih Mongoose. Unless I was reading the wrong page there was no mention of diabetes. In fact it was good to see that the writer did not assume that all the overweight people were diabetics.
I dont think it does us any good at all to defend obesity in the general population. The point is , surely, to educate others to understand that obesity is a symptom of and not a reason for diabetes.
if the writer has made inappropriate remarks about diabetics in the past perhaps he is being ulra-careful here?

All I read was a light hearted article on the dangers of cycling on our busy roads which I happen to agree with wholeheartedly, I certainly wouldnt feel safe riding a bike in any busy city or town nowadays.

I dont think anyone would say that exercise is not good for us but there are safer ways to get it than cycling on our already dangerous roads.

What is it that you feel so strongly about stuffedolive?

Too many cars perhaps? In fact, definitely!
That depends on which angle you are viewing from. I am in no fit state to ride a bike and have to rely on motorised transport to get from A to B, so a bicycle would be of no use to me even if it was safe to ride one on the roadway.
