The Scotch Egg test ...

Have you also tested scotch eggs without gardening between eating and testing? I wondered whether the exercise might have had some input to those nice low results?

Feeling a bit of a spoilsport,

Mm, don't dissapoint me before I try it!! I want to take it to France in August for when tI've walked back from the beach to the campsite, it's a hot day and the thing I really need is a nice cold beer!
Sorry! I have just had a peep at myfitnesspal, surly the data for 1664 cant be right?

The figures are for the french brewed bottles not the UK brewed draught which has 19g of carb per pint (before you all charge down the pub)

If I remember correctly blanc comes in a blue bottle, I have had them before, and very refreshing they are too!

Always been a fan of Scotch Eggs but avoided recently due to breadcrumbs etc ...

Decided to try one today - no carb content listed as they are an 'artisan' brand in our local Budgen :)

So before eating BG 5.1, one hour later 4.9, two hours later 3.9 .... I have been working on the garden since eating it. Now thinking I'll see what the scores are at 3 hours - by which time it will be dinner time.

So no need to make Low carb Scotch eggs, I can (hopefully) enjoy the right thing. Shows how important testing is!

I've never seen one made without breadcrumbs.
I wonder what they use instead.

I would say it's wrong.
The second entry seems close to the truth.

Often use ground almonds. Your idea sounds good, we did used to make them when I was growing up. I wonder if you can you freeze them, or does the egg go funny?

I was thinking maybe pork scratchings wizzed up in a food processor.. they never last long enough in our house to try it though..
