Thinking of going onto insulin pump tandem t:slim

Thank you for your encouraging words, Kim. Funnily enough, my hospital diabetes team finally emailed me today to offer me an appointment to start the closed loop insulin pump kit late next month. Bit of a wait still but yes, it's finally happening !! :D

I just got my appointment invite letter through about my pump kit start, and it says to "bring a vial of insulin with you", okay cool, I'm sure I can do that because I knew my prescription list had been changed recently by my hospital team... and I'm reading here that "due to licensing you will be prescribed NovoRapid vials"... so not only am I changing background insulin because of Levemir being discontinued, they're also getting me off Humalog too, I guess? All the changes, meep! I've been on Humalog for as long as I can remember!

Hi @MeepGenesis the good news is you won't need the background insulin anymore as the pump will take care of that with the rapid acting insulin. Although you should still have a supply of Basal insulin at hand incase of pump malfunctions.
I haven't heard of licensing issues before wrt Humalog - may I ask which pump you have chosen?
Thanks
