Hi, I had a 'funny turn' a Cople of weeks ago and have been told its likely a TIA, and am due to see a consultant on Sunday.
I'm finding it really hard to get any information on do's and dont's whilst waiting for my appointment. I'd be very grateful for any help/advice if possible

Hello @sweep1961 .
Sorry you have had a health scare. Not sure what sort of advice you are expecting from forum members. Without information on diabetes type, medication and such you make it very difficult for members to respond. Also, we are not allowed to give medical advice.

I hope you can relax and not worry to much, and you get all the answers you need at your appointment on Sunday.
Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Hello @sweep1961

Am sure your team will respond and help you there.

I had one about 8 years ago where I was talking to friends in a cafe and just sort of had what I can only describe as a short circuit breakdown where everything sort of shut down and restarted again, only I was aware of it and as I was feeling stressed at the time and just took it as a sign to slow down a bit, I did mention to a nurse during a health assessment apt but they didn't suggest anything, just try not to stress about it if you can as pretty certain that wouldn't help much.

Sorry it's taken so long to get back to you, been running around to all sorts of appointments these pat couple of weeks.
It's all going to be sorted this week with surgery to remove plaque in my cartoid artery. Fingers crossed I will be as right as rain by the weekend.
Thanks so much for taking the time to reply.

I think I was looking for a bit of reassurance tbh, as I don't really have any diabetic friends to talk to.
Thankfully it's being sorted this week with surgery.
