The term "big boned" lol repeatedly told this growing up!
Even in the care home where my dad was paying thousands of pounds a month he still had to pay £15 extra for the monthly visit from the podiatrist. He got one visit a year free from the NHS because he had a problem with his feet but they didn’t cut his nails, just did his annual diabetes check.
Shocking, many years ago I worked at the local toe nail cutting clinic where I live and loved helping out and making the patients feel welcome, I found it to be very rewarding and an essential part of care. Now I cut hair and find that rewarding :)

I have no problem in cutting my toe nails, but several times a week I put my feet up on something and check that I could if I wanted to reach every toe, then I twist my foot and push my knee out to the side to ensure I can still see the sole of my foot - on the same principle as use it or loose it.
When I first stated to check, one hip joint was more resistant than the other, now they are about the same, both good, that is, not that the other has stiffened up. Even at 70, improvement is possible and I recommend trying for it.
