I don't have a TV but I do watch things on the internet does this count?

Good Grief - please tell me this is a spoof!!!!

Sometimes the ignorance out there just beggars belief!!

I don't have a TV either, it went wrong in 1997 and we never bothered getting another one. Are portable DVD players as bad ?? And laptops ?? What about CD players ??

I expect sitting for hours with a book does the same? How about listening to Radio 4? John Humphreys is definitely bad for my health - if only blood pressure!

Everything is bad for you... even moderation.
I watch too much TV but there is so much good stuff on... Homeland has just finished but Alcatraz is still going as is Game of Thrones etc... not mention the monstrously brilliant Bracquo..... and not to forget Dexter... for those who yet to experience these lucky you what treats await... and then there is Lovefilm with all those nice sub-titled epix... 8)
Plus half the day I sit in front of a LED-backlit LCD... but probably the damage is already done with years of proximity to CRT TVs and monitors.

The only studies I know of were on children, where it was found that they became obese BEFORE they became inactive.
So eaing wrongly makes you overweight until it becomes too hard to move about.
I don't watch much TV, but I can sit and read all day.
I do go to the gym and swimming pool Plus hiking.
If I hadn't had to do it, I certainly wouldn't have shifted half a ton of earth yesterday and today. there's still some left to shift , but it's too hot for me now.
