Thanks Freema. I do daily aerobics and weight lifting, but perhaps I will step-up my routine.do you body-build ? I think you should do a lot of fitness and eat a lot more so that your mucles get bigger and so that you are able to eat more without getting more diabetic... mucle Building is what I´d suggest as it is longtime beneficial and much more comforting when you then actully can eat a lot more.... but only eat more when you actually do burn more
my real issue is whether I must stay at this low weight in order to maintain glucose control or if I can afford to gain a few more pounds without jeopardizing control.
I am recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes based on an ac1 test score of 6.5. No meds were prescribed. I adopted a low carb, low caloric intake diet to manage blood glucose levels. I lost 15lbs in 6wks, going from 125lbs down to 115. Now I am too skinny and do not look well. My meter readings are always within normal range. I am afraid to try to regain some weight back to look better. I seem to have plateaued at 115lbs. Should I try to regain at least 5lbs?
Thanks again. Sounds like a plan to take under advisement.Hi. I wouldn't worry so much about the low-calorie aspects of the diet. I would increase the proteins and fats a bit to see how you go.
I doubt that I have hyperthyroidism. The weight loss only happened on this low carb, low calorie diet. Thanks for the comment. Thanks again. Sounds like a plan to take under advisement.
