Toujeo Background Insulin

Hi can anyone help me please? I started to inject Toujeo at 2.30pm today and it hurt quite a lot so decided to stop and move to a less painful area. I take 23 units but obviously split the dose between two sites. Will the body treat this as an overlap of insulin I don't feel well so monitoring levels. Thanks

It doesn't matter that you injected in 2 different areas at the same time as it's released into the blood stream and works over a 24 hour period, if you injected at different times then there is the potential for an overlap then, but you should be fine, hope your ok though ? just be careful if you're feeling unwell as you will need to monitor your BG levels more closely to ensure your not going high/low regardless, take care.

Splitting a dose over multiple sites is fine, no worries!
