Travel with pump

Yes I went through in Feb this year, not actually staying in Dubai but changing planes on the way to Singapore and returning back from NZealand. They were fairly ignorant about pump and Libre, I didn't want to put anything through their scanners and asked to be swabbed and they weren't going to allow this. I had to fight my corner and eventually got my way but it was touch and go. It's possible that the kit would have survived but I didn't want to risk it.

anitas don't worry too much about what was reported recently in the press, its always best to stay calm if challenged and not become too aggressive especially if your female and the Dubai airport person is male (if you have a male companion then ask them to help you if it gets difficult).

I know it should not be this way in today's world but if your careful all should be fine. I have had no issues in Dubai airport.

i'm going to Dublin on Saturday, I will be ready to disconnect if/when I approach the scanner....

has anyone else put there pump through the scanner?

You're not allowed to put it through xray machine or a body scanners. You can go through the basic metal detector thing but you aren't insured for the others as per contract with the company. You'd be liable for the machine if damage was done.
