trying to stay calm

Well done you, glad you are feeling better and less stressed. Keep up the good work.

You are doing great. Advice a plenty in here. I have learned so much in just a couple of weeks.
Don't panic.

I will be retiring in a few months so hope the same thing happens for me.
I have just had a fry up. Havent been feeling too good for a few days. Realised after reading some threads here that I had gone low carb and low fat. Wasn't deliberate but I never ate a lot of fat and just reduced my carbs. Will see how my blood is in an hour.

I too never gave a thought that I was too low in fat....always been lowish / mediumish on carbs, but not a thought to fat or protein....

Ok one and a half hours after eating 6.2. Lowest ever. and actually feel better than I have for a while. I feel I may have been undereating. Another thing I have observed since changing my diet is a huge improvement with my psoraisis

Well done. Just goes to prove that we have to consider balance of food.. Not just carbs...

That is excellent know you just need to find meals for the other times of the day that do the same for you and also a little variety. Keep it up it feels really good doesn't it. Just think the Doctors say "you're only type 2 you don't need to test" and then you have no idea what is going on. It is such a cop out and robbing peter to pay paul because just one complication will cost more than a life time of buying strips.

To congratulate myself I had a banana last night.
Was 6.7 this morning so wont do that again. If I wasnt testing id have no Idea about that.
Still feeling much better today.

the greener the banana the lower the GI and also less sugar... I like mine black unfortunately

After a few days of eating more fat I feel much better. My fingers feel like they are mine again. Have not lost any weight for a few days though.

Good for you. Was this a weekly weigh in or a daily weigh in? Must confess by adding more fat in to my diet I jump daily onto the scales....and yet I am leanand it was totally unecessary.. Have actually lost a few more lb whivh don't need to, so am still going to haveto eat more...
