I wrote this for my son, and everyone out there who can relate to this. Keep healthy, happy and strong.

Got my life mapped out going to make it someday
Then I was struck by a change, it just came my way
Got no freedom, just the highs and lows
It's going to be hard I know

I am not going to let, it get the better of me
It's all about the carbs and sugars for me
People always say that I did wrong
I just tell them, it came along

Got to look after it or it will get the better of me
I know what to do when the lows come over me
So let me tell you all out there
Don't give up and despair
One day they will find something better for you and me
Then we will be living our life again carefree

Hold on to hope and carry on,
These things are going to make us strong
I know it's hard there's no doubt
Sometimes I just want to shout

It's all about the carbs and sugars for me
People always say what did I do wrong
I just tell them, it came along.

Thank you, my son finds it even harder as has other needs, and has not taken it all on board and now been 2 years type 1, 16 years old.

It's the children and young adults I feel for, I was 31 when diagnosed, my granddaughter was just 2 1/2, she's 5 now:-( It must be hard on you and your family at times always that question why?
