Oh Jane, so sorry you and your son are going through this.

Sometimes it's really hard being a parent, you just wish it was you.

I hope they get his medication sorted asap.

thanks to everyone who has replied to my somewhat desperate post. Haven`t answered lately as we have been hospitalized again. This time they have done more tests, it looks like addison`s disease. Don`t know if that makes me feel better or worse to be honest, but at least I am not insane. My love to each and everyone of you, jane

There are a number of members who have Addison's and diabetes on this forum me included so just shout if help/suggestions needed.

Plan of action:- Demand an apology and it has to be in writing from your accuser.
Make sure the pump is forth coming sooner rather than later as so much easier to control diabetes with having both condition's.

Hypos are caused by too much insulin.

Not strictly true. Hypos are caused by things that remove glucose from the blood. One thing that does that is exercise, something I would look into in an adolescent as physical activity patterns tend to change at that age.

And INSIST that any references to M by Proxy are removed from your son's records.
Put in a formal complaint, and make sure the written apology is recorded on the records too.

Otherwise these things can come back to bite you, or your son, in years to come, when anyone who actually KNOWS what happened has long disappeared to other jobs.

thanks again to all replies. I think you are all right about this apology. The doctor has made my life hell for the past 6 months. Lets be totally honest here, she has been downright nasty on occasions,threatening me and my son that we would never see each other again (oh yes she did) In doing so she hasnt given my son his duty of care, he could have ended up in a coma, or worse. Think i will save my anger for when this gets sorted, then its my turn. Thanks again, jane x
