Type 1: Brittle Diabetes

Does anyone out there have any recommendations on how to control Brittle Diabetes? I and my DR.'s have tried everything and nothing so far has helped. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What things have you tried? Do you have a CGM?

what sort of regime are you currently on ?

BG's are tough to control and I have my moments after 44 years ...but have not gone through the extra tough time of being brittle.

my first thought is a pump but you may already be doing that or tried it in the past.
some members here are more successful by lowering carbs too ..... but that is not for everyone

I always have an ear to listen if you need to talk too.......

Have you tried DAFNE? I was brittle during my teens but now have pretty good control.

I would say this is an ideal situation where a pump/cgm combo would be funded......provided the brittleness can be presented....
