Recently got diagnosed with type 1 diabetes last March. It's been a hard adjustment and at first my blood sugars been controlled very well but recently it has been all over the place. I know I should take better care of it and take it more seriously. The past couple months my blood sugar has ranged from 200's to even a couple 500+. The past couple weeks I've started to notice my body becoming numb like a little in the face, arms, legs and it's scary. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if so could you give some advice.

I'm type 2 - but numbness was why I went to the Dr & was diagnosed.
The sensation continued & worsened until I cut out carbs - about 8 years after diagnosis. With the recommended complex carb diet, I was getting BGs well above 200
Now on a reduced carb diet, plenty of veg, natural fats as they come - butter, cheese, nuts (e.g ground almonds as flour), olive oil, & normal proteins with fat, the numbness & other symptoms have gone completely.

Welcome @troyt5 :)

It would be best to see a doctor in case that numbness isn't diabetes-related.

If you're looking for support in controlling your Type 1, then you've come to the right place. There are plenty of people here who can help :)
