There aren't any official levels - it's just your doctor's opinion. Ask a different doctor and you'll get a different answer. Mine is quite happy with my 5.9%. I suppose as long as you are not having too many hypos to reach that level then it's OK.Mine was 6.5 at my last review and my GP told me that this is too low. What I can't understand is that it was 6.5 last year and I was praised for having good control. Have they changed the levels recently ?

Today's HB1AC test came in at 5% equaling my best ever. 0.1 % away from getting into the 4 % club.

Oh well that's why they have given me a pump and I've started forking out for the CGM again. Hopefully it will work

When you say fasting what do you mean? The morning bloods?
iii daisymoomoo please can you explain to me why the second blood droplet? I didn't know to do this. Thanks LinLinYes as soon as you are up, wash your hands and do your blood sugar. When you finger prick, wipe off the 1st drop then use the 2nd.
When are you in Diabetic clinic next, if its soon, why not ring and ask if you can see the nurse as well as the consultant?
