Good morning, the weekend is here again, might pop into town to see if Boots have my prescription, so finger's crossed they do. I need to get yet another umbrella, lost a nice navy blue one about a week ago, I need one of those key finder gadget's, but called 'My umbrella', ella, ella, ella finder :p
BS was 4.5 this morning, last night, 4.1 so I had a plum, some grapes and a small rice cake before bed.

@Mel dCP well done Mel on your 100%

Arh! The challenge of rembering names, when I used to work in camera retail, I could only remover a few people's names, however tell me which camera they had bought and yep knew who you were talking about :)

On a side note, woke up Etch A Sketch said 2.8 :***: OK how to deal with this Jaffa cake and a coffee :angelic: checked bloods 3.8 so not so bad and kind of what I expected.

On another side note, I was wandering up an down the TV channels just now and came across a show called "Top Hooker" :woot:imagine my disappointment when I found out it was competitive fresh water fishing :arghh:
Ah! Books and their covers !!

It used to happen to me a lot when I visited the head office.
I was one of the few female engineers. I I have red hair. I am British in a Finnish office. They only knew one British redhead who may be wondering the corridors. There was an infinite number of blonde haired Finnish guys. How was I supposed to remember their names?

That was some years ago. I now work at home and know everyone in my office. And if someone wants to talk they use Skype which displays their name. Gotta love this technology lark.

Any how, no corridors of power today. Just my parents and I remember their names.
Talking if which, better get the sourdough loaves in the oven so they have something to eat.
Maybe everyone at birth has a tattoo put on their forehead with their first name on it ! And just thinking if you called all the Finnish guys 'Fin' they would not understand, but the Irish guys may have responded !!

Morning all have a great weekend took my libre off last night left me with an angry rash again at least you cant see it as its on my bottom the annoying thing is i have an appointment on tuesday were i will be getting my libre on prescription after self funding for months .il see if they can make any suggestions. seems to be a week for hypos as have had quite a few myself backed up by fingerprick take care everyine

Good luck with all the suggestions. Am working my way through them at the moment. Have you looked at the Dexcom and Libre rash site on Facebook? It’s horrific! Am part of the growing band of people with reactions, 6 months in and it all started going wrong, which appears to be the format. Have filled in a report form to the MHRA and been told by my medical team to stop wearing if none of the barriers work, as it could create problems for the future.

Good morning y'all :) low on the Libre 2.5 on a finger stick on waking which was a bit of a nuisance tho I'm ok now :) although I'm 3.3 Libre, 6.3 finger stick.
I've a post it note on my pc monitor and front door to remind me to pick up needles as there's 5 left in the box, I've some 12mm's left but I'd rather not :p so as they shut at 12 I'm hoping they've had them delivered by 11.30 as I pass, gym before that if my bloods stay recovered after breakfast then a lunchtime at mothers to sell a bit of furniture to fund a skip, then I've got the little un and her mate for the night later on.

I just need the time of 'later on' defining....

mine started 8 months in ,i have looked at the facebook page and yes some of them are horrific i have phoned abbot and asked them if they have changed anything in thier adhesive but they have said they havent but it just seems funny that a majority of people are complaining of the rash but i will try all methods b4 i give up and i love the confidence the libre gives me ;)

Morning all, 7.5 this morning, and overlapping, stacking of yesterday survived ok: changed Levemir vial in case that’s the problem but the nasty-journey-bladder seems to have cleared up. DP gearing up slowly.
Names, what a nightmare. There was a lovely woman I knew who solved it by calling everyone darling. No, not a luvvie, just a nice person. I think from now on I’ll call blokes Sweetie Pie, and women can be Comrade. May have to think about that. Unequal?

Good morning,

A lovely day. Not the weather, which is a bit rainy, but I had a good sleep so it's a lovely day.

My first song is memorised, now I have Freestyle Libre I'm going to take a few songs to an open mic night in a couple of weeks. I used to do that a few years ago, but it was too stressful, and my blood sugar would go haywire. However, I'm older and more grumpy now, so I care less what anyone else thinks, these days, and with Freestyle Libre I'm hoping it will be more manageable.

Two more to learn, number two is almost learnt, as I've almost learnt it a couple of times, recently, but then given up. Number 3 has a repeated chord progression, and a chorus, so not too difficult.

Going to walk up and down a couple of hills today, I'm training. Once I get a better feel for what I can do with walking, and Levemir, I've going to try and have a walk round Salisbury Crags, before it gets too cold.

Have you made a report to the MHRA. I think @becca59 is right that people should do this, because if this problem with rashes is recorded in this way then it puts pressure on Abbotts to find a solution,

Morning peeps well its grim ooop north at moment, you would think its a November morning.

After yesterdays terrible BG back to normal with fairly flat overnight. Seems I have my basal doses pretty much sussed. A nice 5.6 this morning

Well as its so horrible outside looks like a day of TV, Youtube and reading

Hope you all have a lovely day whatever you do

Morning all! Just.

I too woke with a hypo, 3 dead on. Took two dextrose tabs and switched the Omnibot off for half an hour, and I’m now cruising at 5 - it took n hour for all that to take effect, so it’s not great for when you need to bring it up fast, but I was just loafing around at home, so no problem. Keto brain stays quite clear even when BG is low, I find - no panic or cognitive impairment. I do get the other hypo symptoms though.

More painting today, outside while the weather holds. Have a good one, friends <3

@karen8967 and @becca59 I don't know if any of the info here is of any use? https://www.healthline.com/diabetesmine/sticky-truth-adhesive-changes-diabetes-devices#1 I didn't know Abbott had produced a guide; there's only one page but it might be useful. I don't suffer with rashes, just have problems trying to keep the snsor stuck to me. I use Tegaderm, but one won't last me two weeks, so I always end up having to trim off the edges of the Tegaderm and stick another one over the top - at least once and sometimes more during thelife of a sensor. And then of course the thing's unsightly - well, more unsightly I guess - and I do stick mine on my upper arm. I don't think I could sleep comfortably with it anywhere on my back. costs and benefits I guess; I wonder why they don't make Libres in other colours - some different flesh tones to make them less obvious or something fluorescent that'd be more interesting than white...
