Morning peeps another very good night for me dropping from 7.3 before bed to 5.2 when I got up. Used Libre to test during the night couple of times and the line was completley flat. Maybe I should spend all my time in bed:)

Have a good day whatever you do

Not being on holiday....
Good morning
4.1 at 5.30am rough as toast.
Had a witch of an afternoon/evening yesterday.
In a desperate attempt to get my levels up enough to drive I ate too much.
I was desperate to leave work and it wasn't moving so I kept shovelling food in.
Obviously I ended up sky high at 5pm.
Over compensated and ended up low and by this time its nearly time for bed.
I had cake and chocolate (unusual for me) and was 11.7 before bed.

Its all part of our daily battle against the forces of chaos......

I might have that as my epitaph...

Happy times and places

Tony

Morning everyone,

Yesterday around 5pm, my blood glucose decided to go high, just to confuse me, as the previous day it decided to go too low. It might have been the greengages I had for lunch, but they were nice.

Anyway, about 5.1 this morning, blood sugar didn't require too much attention during the night, so I'm not complaining.

Hi Knikki, Only been on Nova for about 5 months, prior to that I was on Humalog for many years. I believe that Nova and Humalog are basically the same insulins just different manufacturers.

With my overnights being generally OK, fairly flat, I think I have my night time Levemir OK. When I take my morning Levemir around 7am with my breakfast my BG may be OK at say, 7. By lunchtime at around 12.30 my BG will still be at 7. By dinnertime around 6pm my BG will still be around 7. So between meals just before my Nova, the BG are fairly good. its just the spikes in between meals..

Typical breakfast will be museli or porridge, lunch will be home made soup, followed by salad. Dinner will be chicken, meat, followed by plenty of veg. No snacks between meals really. So no bread, pasta, rice or potatoes

I don't know is the answer.

Could just be the way your body metabolises the Nova in combination with what you eat, but that is pure guess work.

As to trying to fix it, well I would be tempted to leave it alone if your happy with the way it goes, least after a period of time you end up back down at normal levels, which has to be good.

Now I'm on a differnet fast acting I would deal with it differently, but that is just me.

Tapas :woot::joyful:

No idea of the carb count so watched Etch A Sketch and basically stuck 2 or 3 units in every time it pointed up. Ended the night on a 6.1 not bad :) this morning a 10.1 which I think was the fall out from it, not bad could have been better :writer:

Morning y'all, the Libre said 3 and a finger stick said 4.1, I didn't use the tens machine as my shoulder's eased off quite well, a busy day as I should go do something with the child, thinking a trip to Knaresboro castle and maybe a rowing boat on the river Nidd or Dalby forest, I'll see what she thinks when she awakes :)

The sun's out here :)

@kitedoc , the coffee you mention, is it 'Skybury'?

I only ask as my local roaster sells that, imported as green beans and roasted here, it's a nice drink :)

good morning :)
Went to bed on a 4.2.....knew I should have had a carb snack before I went BUT didn't!!! Awoke to a 3.3 BUT felt fine. So a little less Fiasp with my Crunchy Nut Cornflakes this morning and am now on a nice 6.4
Change of sensor last night. On start up scanned a 6.1 and finger poke of 6.1. I think this one is going to be an accurate one :)

Make sure you make an appointment with the teenager to do the moving. He might already have plans ...
He did it without complaining :D
Am I the only person who sticks 2 fingers up aimed at my blood machine?

I did that this morning........:inpain:

I swear at mine a fair bit... but I do compliment it when the numbers are good!

Morning lovelies, went to bed on a 4 with a little bar of 85% chocklit for company and awoke on a 4.4 having been steady all night. So I’m happy with that. Had to fiddle with my Omnipod basal a little, made up a new programme last night. Still love it!

Sending a very orange pine chest of drawers today....

Morning guys, been a bit up and down, ( but didn't want to moan or whinge about it ) So anyway, I had my diabetes appointment yesterday, I knew I wouldn't get a CGM, even though when I was in hospital Dr T said to my friend I would fit the criteria, oh well.
So, on a positive note, I am feeling so much better and near enough back to my old self, health wise :)
I have been looking for jobs online and the one I applied for in June and I had a telephone interview as well, has appeared again, ( actually 3 of them, smallest hours being 8) so I re-applied with a note explaining that I was in hospital quite ill, fully recovered now and I apologised for any inconvenience caused as I know their time is valuable and I hope to hear from them, with kind regards. I uploaded my CV, so, what do you think on a company giving me another chance and recognising that I was sincere and still am, about the job and not messing them about.
My sick/fit note last's until Sunday 9th September and I will be getting a phone call from my GP on the 7th to see how I am doing.
Wishing you all a Happy Thursday:)

I blame the machine if I'm too high or low but congratulate myself if I'm tickety boo.
