@becca59 Well that indeed looks very tasty.:joyful:

But hang on......

Shouldn't Christmas puddings be started in like September and fed with booze till the day before they are cooked making them at least 400% proof? :woot:
If it is not fed with booze during that period you have to drink a load of brandy before you eat it......problem solved ;);)

@Alison54321 I adore red tulips and have found a really good online supplier Gee Tee but it'll depend on how long they take to arrive. I'd need to get them in quite soon, it's already a bit late:cool:
I've used GeeTee for a long time now; when I first started their delivery charge was a flat £10 so a group of us would order together. That cost has gone down a lot, and I've always found them good value and good service. I was always told not to plant tulips before November to avoid the risk of tulip fire. Lots of sites say plant Oct-Nov; the RHS still recommends November for tulips. Hope that helps you decide whether to plant more :)

Good wet and fairly windy afternoon everyone - the weather, not me.
BS have had a decent day if on the low side, so they’re showing me, again, that T1s have to treat each day as an individual. Hope the low end continues, excuse for a treat!
Fiasp delivery was delayed yesterday so donning a sou’wester and trecking back to the pharmacy later on.
HI and I have just set Lasting Powers of Eternity in motion, now what can possibly go wrong? If my daughters are in charge of care, should I need it one day, they know I want to be left in a sunny glade with a good load of poppy products, the pale pink ones with purple-blue centres. That should solve everything

@becca59 go easy on the back

May indeed be a little stiff tomorrow. Was one of the diggers taking sods off. 1kg sack of daffs and another sack of Tete a Tete. Needed a 10 carb pack of raisins mid way but other than that maintained a steady 5mml. Bet the drop comes tomorrow.
We are a small band, 3 in their 70s, 3 in their 80s and me 59 next week. We were very chuffed with our silver guilt achievement this year. Also finished some planting in our churchyard to make it spick and span for Sunday’s remembrance service.

A really steady/boring diabetic day.
Highlight of the day was at 5.20 a.m. Picked up work bag off conservatory floor and out dashed a very small mouse.
Wasn’t expecting it, hence the exclamation “ bloody hell”:):).
Soon realised I was never going to catch it, opened the door to the garden and managed to shepherd it outside.
It’s life in the fast lane sometimes.:):)

Hoping to stay steady and be boring throughout the night.

Decided, going to get some more tulips. They always make me grin:):):)

Evening colanders.

Tonight’s game, “guess what time Mel’s (Cat) cannula came out”? I’ve not been in double figures for months, and I feel like I’ve been hit by a truck, tbh. First day of first responder training, and I knew we were doing some physical conflict resolution and self defence stuff, so I put my new pod on my front, just under my breastbone, thinking it would be out of the way, with quite a tight vest top layer over the top for added protection - I really thought about this, you know? Anyway, I must have positioned it perfectly wrongly on a roll of flab or something! Bolused 0.9u for my 9g carb lunch, plus 0.75u over two hours for the protein element, and was quite surprised to see it rise, and rise and rise, as it’s a meal I eat quite often. When it hit double figures I realised something was wrong, and a blood reading came in at 15.7 :inpain: A quick pod change and it’s started to come down, at 10.3 now.

I’ve got some crocuses that need to be planted and tell myself that I need to clear a space and get on with tidying up the garden first. Then on the other shoulder eco FG shouts about the number of insects, voles, weeds, worms, mice and frogs that need to have a safe place too.
I love Tete a tete, delicate, and anything that smells good or makes food too.

Brilliant you and the rest of the planting team @becca59

@Fairygodmother I totally agree it's a fine balancing act. I moved some fallen apples to plant the tulips but made sure they stayed on the surface to feed the birds through the winter. I does take extra time to garden but I reckon it's totally worth it.

Oh dear a dreadful night and I cant explain my BG at all

Just before dinner at 6pm BG was 4.8 and going down, so had dinner, home made soup and baked potato and tuna and bolused for this after meal. Couple hours later 11.4 and at bedtime 8.2. Overnight my BG normally either stays steady or Dawn P kicks in around 4. I decided not to correct. Took usual dose of Levemir about 10.15

Woke at 2am, my usual time now for having a night hypo, used to be 3 am. Libre says LO, so a wee panic. Grab a handful of jelly beans and go down stairs as this actually did feel low. Finger test says 2.4, oooops. Kettle on and in meantime grab a glass of coke and down that. Waiting for kettle to boil, another finger test about 5 mins after first one 2.2. Now really panicking. Coffee , 4 sugars, yeeeeeuch and a couple of biscuits. Another finger test 2.1, aw CR AP.

Wait a few minutes and finally 2.5. 10 mins later its now 3.6.

Woke at 4am, 14.5, so correction dose only a small one and at 7am its 15.0. Got raging headache

Cant think of any reason for the massive drop from 8.2 to 2.1 as there would have been no Novo slow on board and would not think Levemir would be working that quick:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:
Hi @smc4761, ? any exercise late afternoon or early evening?, are the nighttime and morning levemir doses too high? just some thoughts and the zany effects of season change and weather?
