Good afternoon teabags, and hope you all get through the day in fit shape to enjoy the wine, cider etc.
Mel, you’ll deserve it! I’ve never been able to look at the logic of shutting up over-active brain-mayhemmed 13 year olds in a classroom all day. A lovely friend brought peace to older versions of the same by taking her rescue dog into the classroom. They loved her and I see that the interweave’s alive with the ‘new’ thinking that this is a good thing.
Hope you won’t be hitting the vodka this evening Karen for anything other than a celebration of a great first day!
Aw, Cumbs, puppy training with your little cutie, gorgeous!
My news of the day? I’ve had a shower!!!! A shower! At last - and it was wonderful! Simple pleasures are the best!

Good morning all. Gotta try and get in the docs in the morning. Woke to a lovely 16 this morning so a huge correction dose with breakfast and now sitting on a 14.6!!! 200% on my temp basal. Still got 3.2 u of "active" insulin AAARGH.....

@Robinredbreast love the new Avatar. Might have to look at mine again, see what "ACTION" ones I have on the computer in work.
@Mel dCP fingers crossed the English will go better than you BGs at the moment ((((HUGS))))
@champ200581 paracetemol and ibuprofen as already suggested (don't forget to keep hypo treats by your side as well). Krakow, will visit one day in the not too distant future to be sure

Thank you @porl69, as the warmer weather is here, I thought Robinredbreast needed a new look from the spring collection

Dzien dobry (pre nous gin dobrey) that is greetings from Krakow!

Firstly thanks all for your lovely hugs and responses :nailbiting: been out and about having gulped down the meds and tried to walk off some of the illness highs! Schinders factory- wow! So moving, if you've any inkling here it's a totally beautiful city and almost everything walkable, very good value and such lovely welcoming people.....

Speaking of which must thank you for welcoming me, have been a member for a while but will try and be more pro actively involved. Bloods been better over the day but usual afternoon slight rise again exacerbated by cold :meh: will try and get it round the scruff of the neck as really need a good night sleep!

Happy Tuesday all x

Greetings @champ20581, and commiserations on the cold - hope you see it off very soon!

Good afternoon all.
Welcome to the forum @champ200581 and the little bit of sanity/insanity that is this thread. Hope you’re feeling better, keep well hydrated, plenty of fluids ( the watery type:) ).
As for the regulars, well I hope today’s trials and tribulations haven’t left you to high or low.
Sausage and chips soon to be devoured, sneaky feeling I may pop out of range for a while. Been good all day between 4 and 8.
Liking people’s new avatars, guess we’ll all have to have a re think now:):).

Last night, I made the most of being higher than predicted when I left work to walk all the way home. Additionally, as I had an empty shopping trolley to bring home and no piano lessons to teach, I decided to get the weekly shop done as well. Normally I get halfway home, do a check and decide I'd be safer going up the hill on the bus!

Tonight, I was also slightly higher than usual and have walked all the way home. I am just about to dust, hoover, and mop floors.

I think I need to be a lot more active at work tomorrow!

Evening all.

Been bit of a bun fight all day, in fact last two days and now sat at 4.9 (that's if this lying tech is right) which is the lowest it's been. So have binned Aspidistra cart I started on Sunday, now let's see if that makes a difference.

If not, then the mods may be busy with the * wand tomorrow ;)

Am getting excited, off on hollybobs to Keswick on Friday. Although retired, our lives have been so ridiculously busy since Christmas am in need of some down time. Just husband and me with no alarm clocks (yes even retired people have to set alarms) pub lunches, walks in hiking boots. Lots of Kindle reading and copious amounts of wine. The weather forecast has just shown cold weather for next week but I don’t care. I have thermals!

@champ200581 Hello and welcome to the strange end of the forum. Krakow? not been there for a while and yep I can believe you will struggle with low carb stuff, still a fab place.

Cant help on the cold feeling yuk bit other than what the others have said.

Morning.

Woke to an 11.5 ~sigh~ not sure why but have been experimenting with lowing my long acting Dulac and I think that might be the cause :shifty: anyway have pushed it back up which will take a few days to work through the system.

Sat here staring at two screens full of various things and still no idea what I'm doing :hilarious:.

Lets see if the tech can get me to come out with more colourful descriptive language :)

@karen8967 How the new job going our kid?

no vodka tonight will have to wait for the the weekend but may unscrew lid and have a sniff ;)

Hi all, haven't been around for a few days, my daughter in law's been here for a long weekend, yay! Sadly she wasn't on top form as she too has a lurgy - here's hoping I don't succumb and sympathy to all those of you out there suffering with various bugs.

@Mel dCP think it may need to be wine and choclit by the time today's over; thank whoever I only work with adults.

@Cumberland I'd love to see Wispa at puppy class. Is this her first time, and is she the smallest?

@karen8967 hope all's going well with the new job.
thanks hh1 it went well xx

Good evening fine folks. Turns out my unpredictable BG may not have been the lipohypertrophy after all, as I was up half the night trying not to be sick. An irritating gastric problem which I thought I'd seen the last of after going keto a year ago. Still changed infusion site back to my abs this morning anyway. So I had a sick day and sat in the garden listening to a podcast all about cholesterol and trying to understand what the Dickens my body is trying to do to me. Today's BGs have been a bit on the high side, I did get it down to 6 at one point, I was hoping it would stay there, but body had other ideas...

@Cumberland puppy training is awesome, and well worth putting in the time. Me and my pooch meet too many ill-tempered dogs on our walks. Did I mention my daugher's favourite is a Daschund?

@helensaramay catching up over a cuppa is more important than any knots or carabiners.

@Mel dCP i hope you got through your day relatively unscathed in the end. You deserve a medal, or at least some vino and choc. (BTW, my 13yo is nothing like that, and would join you in condemning the behaviour of her peers you describe.)

The more time I spend in schools the more I appreciate my own lovely nearly 16 year old!

Welcome back @hh1

This was her 2nd puppy class and she did rather well, group of 5 pups she does sit but not yet lie down and we had to take it in turn to hide in another room with the door left open and call our pups and Wispa was the only one that did so

Yes she is the smallest bless
