Elmo looks magnificent

I’ve not heard of his breed but I think they look Fab.

A tortoise how nice is he/she out from hibernation?

Good morning all friends

A trip for into Carlisle this morning for some brekky and a mooch around the town (first time in town for little doggy)

It’s fair with the sun playing hide and seek

Wishing you all a very good Wednesday

Hello Knikki

I’m glad you are seeing the bright side of things

I’ll be having a cuppa very soon so cheers

Thanks @Knikki I think I am running on a pretty dated version which I know works! I will update both later.

Went to bed on a 7 and woke to a 10. Was awake coughing most of the night. Definitely going to my GPs in the morning and waiting!!!!

Hi - yes, we have two Shih-Tzu. One is an old, one eyed boy (Dizzy) whose ulcer in his only eye is healing well with a lot of meds (he's 11), and bouncy Tutti, a 3 year old who is just starting to think about growing up maybe. They are spayed/neutered and we only got Tutti because our rescue Shih-Tzu Poppy suffered a traumatic spinal injury and had to be put to sleep. Dizzy was lonely (they were raised together), and really, so were we. There's a balance in the house with both of them.

We also have a tank full of ghost shrimp. It started life as a tank for my marimo moss balls but somehow the little ghosties arrived. Without actual fish in the tank it's amazing how they thrive.

Drat! Postman just brought my new purse. Not nearly as nice as it looked on the net. In fact, I hate it. Serves me right for buying new. Entirely my fault but it's too big. I like diddy little purses that are just big enough to fit the small amount of cash I carry plus my debit card, and a couple of other cards. I didn't get the measurements right.

I'll put it in the charity shop bag, and then look for one that's right in my favourite charity shop. I'd rather buy from there if I can.

Morning all, I’m pretending to be a physics teacher today. Up half the night with incessant high alerts ... Catch you later!

Just take in a couple of episodes of The Big Bang Theory, informative and such a laugh too, especially Sheldon that should keep the little darlings amused and interested

Mel, I see they changed your lesson to History............. but I would still do the above

Greeting fellow colanders, hope you are all having a good day.

Outer Hebrides was fun and weather was actually OK once i got there. Did some really gentle walks each day, BUT even by reducing my Basal to temp 50% Basal I still found i dropped in the morning. This is very strange as i am normally really high in mornings. just did constant BG checks, thank goodness for Libre

However last night once i got back my BG were seriously messed up. For dinner i had fish and chips and bolused on a dual Bolus 70% up front with other 30% over 2 hours. At 7pm when i took Bolus BG was 11.1, so did a correction dose. About 1.5 hours later I felt "high". Did a check oooops 21.6. Waited for 30 minutes and did another check 25.6

That cant be right so did a finger prick, and 25.6 was wrong, it was actually 26.2

Took an injection to correct this and by bedtime this had dropped to 18.1. decided to leave as i still had some Bolus on board.

Woke at 3am to a 4.2, ***. Rolled over and by 5.30 this had dropped to 3.9. Handful of jelly beans but when i woke up at 7 am I was only at 4.1, very strange day indeed

So todays question can anyone beat my BG 26.2 ( I know it nothing to be proud of)

I can beat it - 28.2 at diagnosis! But that, and the period following, are the only times I've ever been in the 20's or high teens. Thankfully. For some reason I'd rather be low than high. I guess 'cos it's usually easy to fix a low and I love Oreos. Highs though, can be another kettle of fish altogether.

My husband envies you the Outer Hebrides. He worked in the Highlands and Islands for 26 years and flew to all the various islands (or caught ferries), and grew to love the area very much.

Thank you for that interesting link

I’ve learned something new

I bet Dizzy and Tutti are best of buddies and are spoiled rotten

Do they want to share their photos

2001 admitted to hospital comatose. 7 days in intensive care. When I came around the nurse said I was lucky to be here. Apparently I was high 50s. How they tested for that I do not know but that's what the IC nurse told me

@Cumberland - I would add a pic but I'm unsure how to do it, or the permitted size? Any help welcome!

@porl69 Nice avatar update.
Where were you when you jumped out of an aeroplane with a man strapped to your back?

That was in Turkey for my 50th birthday. My misses thought it would be a good idea to do a para glide!!! That was at Oludeniz and we jumped of Mt Babadag.

Hi

I use the mobile app and take the photos from the phone and post on here

I’m sure someone more tech savvy than me can pop along and explain more

Be nice to see your doggies

As jumping out of planes and cliffs looks fun the question is Why jump out of a perfectible serviceable airplane when it is not on fire?

Looks amazing and a little more exotic than the flooded flood plains around Oxfordshire I looked down upon when celebrating my 40th ... with a man strapped to my back.

Wow brave you how amazing
I must say you have more guts than me, even if offered a million quid I wouldn’t do it

I was 59.6 on one of my admissions I was conscious and walked into A&E they got me fixed on to a drip and I was admitted to a ward within half an hour

The staff were surprised that I was still on my feet all I remember is having the most head crushing headache and so thirsty I could have drank Windermere

Was in for 5 days

Not something I want to be repeated
