@Knikki . Canapés and Vol au vents ??????????
Ok ok if we’re having a carb party I’ll bring custard, bread and butter pudding, apple crumble, chocolate brownies and treacle sponge, oh and a Vienetta..
If we’re watching carbs I’ll gladly leave the canapés and vol au vents in the fridge.
I’m going to bed on the grounds that it’ll stop me raiding the cupboards and drinking the other half of the bottle! Night chaps
@karen8967 . Childproofing the house ?????? Good luck on that one. More chance of stumbling upon a cure for diabetes.
I suppose we could make exceptions in special cases.
I have just spat my tea out, you have put me down as Robinredbeast, I am not a beast, honestly I'm not otherwise I could be sacrificed at Stonehenge ( lovely place though )
Not really @Fairygodmother I'm a puristI’ve got seaweed thins in the larder, with almonds, will those do?
I hate Marmite but love TwigletsTwiglets seem to be a bit like Marmite you either love ‘em or hate ‘em. I prefer Ritz but they’re a bit too carby even for me!
My new regime went exactly the same way but it's difficult not to drink the wine @Mel dCPCelery is the vegetable of the devil, grown by Beelzebub himself in the allotments of Hades. The only thing to eat peanut butter with is a spoon. Or maybe a shovel.
On that note, in an effort to lose some weight, I have not replenished supplies of mayo, avocados, cheese-I-can-actually-eat, chocklit, peanut, almond or cashew butter, nuts in general or any lardy treats. So (after half a bottle of wine) I ended up raiding my husband’s lunchbox for his bag of mixed nuts which I furiously pounded in my mahoosive pestle and mortar with some salt and pepper to make a very passable nut butter. So much for willpower
I was thinking of starting to participate in this thread and throwing in some drunken party bears in case anyone hypoed (Leave gummi bears overnight in dark rum. They'll get twice as big!) but I'm doubting the wisdom of this now I've read this:
Not sure what Twiglets or Ritz crackers are but I love hummus. No celery though, unless you count celeriac?
If this is all:
I should be safe, as I've had my deely boppers for a long time now!
