@SueJB see you there tomorrow - You'll be able to recognise me by the dog! (We get quite a few people coming over to say 'Hi' to the dog so you'll have to 'slip' in the code word so I know it's you and you don't embarrass yourself in front of total strangers :joyful: :hilarious:)

BGs have been rather good of late - the lull before the storm I reckon! (oh just remembered it is, dinner out with friends tonight......it'll be a miracle if I manage to keep on top of it.)
@slip I was there today Friday and I would have loved to meet you and your dog. I did say hi to lots of dogs..... met a really lovely ridge back

Morning

Yes longest day to day so plan is:
Finish swearing, cursing, blaming tech at work and on arm.
Go home.
Nose bag.
Later, open bottle of wine and sit in the back garden and watch the sun go down :) (which is actually a bit tricky because the sun sets on the other side of the house :hilarious: )

Other than that, Free Hug for anyone who would like, want one.
It's cloudy over here and I just thought your idea of a wine sundowner was great. Just have to keep drinking til I think it's gone............ the sun or the bottle

Summer fete at grandkids school tomorrow.
OH has decided to bake some cakes.
Shout from the kitchen for assistance.
“ Mix this, spread that, put this in there “ were my instructions.
Halfway through putting “ stuff” in little paper cases I suddenly realised that this “stuff “ was the stuff I used to spend hours licking out of a bowl as a child. I have to admit I started short changing the cake cases in the hope there would be some stuff for me at the end. Mission accomplished ;). Got a few spatulas of stuff all to myself. It was like going back 50 yrs in time.
Of course all this was done in the name of research. :):):) 50 yrs ago I wasn’t T1 so I needed to know if it still tasted as good.
50 yrs ago I had no need to test my BS so can’t really compare my sugars with anything later tonight.

Sorry didn’t realise your post was on Thursday, a shame - next year may be!

@helensaramay - I've not had a proper walk for nearly two weeks until this evening, and was seriously antsy, so I came home the scenic route of 5 miles rather than the 3 miles direct route, then I decided I need to tackle some of the garden for an hour or so... what was going to be a tidy up of a smallish bush turned into a full-scale cut back. I found a crisp packet with a best before date of May 2002 and the original colour of the fence...

My coughing seems to be at night just, which is kind of inconvenient, but I'm glad it's mostly subsided. I'm prone to coughs lingering most enthusiastically when I do get them.

Definitely packed a full week's worth of work into the 4 days I've been in this week. So, the meet-up with a friend I've not seen for a good 15 years tomorrow will be very good for sitting down and relaxing. Though, I may have to go through the pain barrier of having to explain the massive weight loss from when he last saw me (about 7 stones) and the diabetes stuff, but we have kept in touch via social media and there are some recent photos of me. Not many, though.

Enjoy your meal out :joyful:
@Antje77 are you sure it’s tonight with the aunts? Not tomorrow? Or next week? :)

I hope you have some backup food in the house just in case!
It was today and I got there on time with a slowly dropping bg, dipping into hypo territory right when the food was served. So I dug in to the very good fries and ate a wonderful, big, fat, whole (well, without the heads and the innards) plaice, pan fried, no batter. Took a modest bolus halfway through when the fries had raised me to 4.4 and expected to go high during the car drive but have stayed between 5 and 6 since dinner, which was almost 5 hours ago.
Not sure what diabetes is up to but I won't complain!

Was fun to see my aunts again and dropped them off at their little sailing yacht without incidents :)
I brought them fresh eggs from my chickens, they brought me some lovely ham from Spain (although I think it was an afterthought in response to the eggs and they had it with them to eat on board) and all was well.

Morning friends, I got up super early today because I had an early night yesterday, diabetes was playing up.
I woke up on 6.2, much much better :) More alpro yogurt and fruit washed down with an iced coffee. My inner adult self is excited about Ikea

I’m gonna have natural yogurt and berries. Yummy.

Good morning and it's the start of the weekend  Awoke on a 6.0 this morning which is great, but I didn't eat a lot last night as I was quite tired, but It's a sunny and a bright day here  so going to make another cuppa and decide on where to go today, the town is more varied, but it's Saturday and will be busy, or chill out at home and in the garden, decisions, decisions lol ?

Have a great time at the summer fete, I do like mouching around at these events ( I can say mooching, as daughter is still in the land of nod lol) finger's crossed for nice weather, so have a fab time :)

And today’s challenge is ..... to maintain the lovely straight 5/6 line I’ve had on my sensor for 36 hrs, whilst at Party in the Park Leeds. Belinda Carlisle, Erasure, Big Country, From the Jam and Quo amongst others. Must be bonkers! Able to walk there across fields from our house though and take a picnic. Sunny weather, new sensor ready to activate in an hour. It better behave. Wish me luck! Have a great weekend all.
