The English is clear enough to lorry drivers - but the Welsh reads "I am not in the office at the moment. Send any work to be translated."

When I saw that on the BBC news in Swansea I did smile, although I often translate Yorkshire into English on here :p

Long morning, but I've a straight down arrow now on the Libre, 9.2 and I've had twice my standard jab, seems the donner kebab meat came from the local Indian, not the pizza place I assumed they'd been to and I don't eat the formers kebab meat for this reason, so more fool me for the assumption as I know better....

LOL. That made me giggle
Don't we allways no better with our diabetes? It's only when it comes and kicks us up the bum do we remember what we were supposed to do OR not do :)

Warmer over the past week with evening showers. Strong northerly winds which will stir up the allergy sufferers unfortunately.
I have oodles of kites needing small repairs so no flying them at present and I am trying to plan and complete two new kites designs/prototypes.

Love the word oodles! I often use it myself but rarely hear others use it.

I have a Peter Powell stunt kite which I fly pretty regular. I hate putting the 75 foot tail away thou grrrrr the bleeding thing fills up with air and takes ages to fold small enough to put back in the bag

Good to hear @porl69, Yes, inflatable kites and tails are a challenge.! You almost need an old-fashioned bandage wrapper device to roll up those tails !! BTW I know of someone who uses the holder for computer discs glued to a stick which is held in an electric drill device and then tail started around the disc holder and slowly wound in.

Afternoon all and thanks for the lovely messages. Feels like I’ve got so much support here :) Just at my friend Mad Jean’s for lunch before she drops me off at the hospital for the afternoon robotification! Felt weird not taking Tresiba this morning, running high sixes today, which I think is an ok place to be with such a major change about to happen.

See you on the other side, friends...

Best Wishes @Mel dCP, The 'other side' is a newish world but once the basal dosage and other settings are sculpted to your needs, the DP and repeated insulin corrections of the past, will become a a dim memory. Be patient and enjoy the change.
ENJOY IT, LOCARBOHYDRATE, INSULINATE, BOLUSATE etc etc !!

Time for beauty sleep !
Saying of the Day: A garbage bin left on the kerb is emptied once per week, a stopped clock is right twice per day, a finger prick blood test hurts once or more per test, and a detached CGM, all husbands, males and politicians are NEVER right.

No just stoopid ;)

You need to be out at midnight doing the hokey kokey in anti clockwise direction round the M25, to the tune of "Aga Do" while wearing a grass skirt and a wooly jumper and eating several pasties from a Gregs Drive Thru.

That should appease the little gemlin for you :hilarious:

@Cumberland good to see you back :)

@kev-w So long as the curry was tasty then that should be OK and now I want one ;)

All well with me back running mid 5 and want to be lower.

Least I remebered this time to inject :oldman:

Thank you captain

Evening all! Had a very informative afternoon setting it all up, and I now sport a small pod on my left thigh... basal rate is set slightly higher in the wee hours, and slightly lower late afternoon, as that’s when I seem to need a bit more and a bit less. Currently about 15 units a day compared to the 18.5u Tresiba. We talked about extended bolouses because of my low carbing, so will give that a bash with dinner tonight. Was running a little high this afternoon as I didn’t take Tresiba this morning, and I suspect there was more than a little cortisol wafting about, so have done a couple of correction squirts.

So far so good...

All the best Mel, I hope it works well for you ( with some tweaks here and there)
