So after the last few nights of being stable but around the 9 mark last night I went to bed on a 5.1, and as you've already probably guessed this morning I wasn't anywhere near the bed time score, just a little 11.2. hey ho!

Hope you all have a good day!

Morning all - woke to a nice 6.7 today so went for a run after Sunday's 10k and struggled at the 4km mark, legs got proper moaney, so struggled through to 5 and stopped, finished at 5.4mmol/l, took kids to school and now trying to get work done..

Good luck today @porl69 hope you get a good outcome @Cumberland - Hopefully no fillings ;)

Thank you the plan is to extract 2 teeth omg

Morning

A question does chick peas and lentils have a carb value?

Just don't seem to be able to find out.

Yes. Lentils 20 carbs per 35g dried weight. Chickpeas 17 carbs per 35g dried weight. Chick peas tinned 6 carbs per 40g. They are notoriously slow at raising sugar levels. If I’m not eating many I personally don’t bother injecting for them.

Hi all,

Back from a weekend away in Bridport and a magnificent day in the garden yesterday.

Holiday was tough on the BG, managed a magnificent overnight 23.4 (too much booze, curry and salted caramel tart) and also a less magnificent 17ish spike the day before, but wrestled it back into shape and now running in range now i am back on my normal routine.

afternoon peeps , good to have forum back

Had a good BG overnight and woke after a flat night to a 5.6. great start to week BUT

Had 2 small slices of toast 28 g of carbs, and 2 poached eggs so took 7 units of Novorapid, my ratio is 1:4 taken 25 mins before I ate. 2 hours later 7.7, which is fine. Its all uphill from there 10.7, 3 hours after jab and finally 12.3, 4 hours after jab WTAF.

This is really frustrating the life out of me GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR:(

Taken a correction dose about 1.5 hours ago and it has dropped but only to 9.9.

One day i will get the hang of this

Now this is why i get annoyed with my diabetes and i am sure you guys have the same experiences

Woke this morning to 6.4 after a flat night, had the same breakfast at the same time, injected the same amount of insulin in approx same area. I have done the same thing at work, sit on my ar5e and worked on emails and spreadsheets. tested a few times all morning and my BG was fairly steady climbing to 8.6, which i can live with, a rise of 2.2 from my waking BG

And yet yesterday it went from 5.6 to 12.3 a rise of almost 7 from my waking BG.

WHY WHY WHY:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Thanks which now explains the stupid high this morning.

I've never managed a single holiday where my BGs have been stable. For some reason, the first few days of a holiday are filled with hypos and the last few days filled with highs. Could do without the stress of dodgy BGs on holiday!
