Type 1'stars R Us

@slip- I have really tight targets (set by my conception/fertility clinic). I switched my alarms off over the weekend and woke up in double figures I find if I wake up in range it gives me a head start for the rest of the day.

@Knikki totally guesstimated and Chinese went well... sat at 6.6 2 hours and 4 hours post meal :) but will bare MyFitnessPal in mind next time.

Protein- I HAVE to bolus for protein. I used to have to bolus for protein if it wasn’t accompanied by carbs. But now regardless of whether it is with carbs by body needs insulin for protein. (My meals usually have no more than 10-15g of carbs- most of the time).

Morning fellow colanders

Well here was me on here yesterday saying I had a flat line all night and how easy this type 1 nonsense was

Went to kip at 10.30 last night with a nice 6.0 BG. I had eaten the same amount of carbs about 45 g at the same time, had last eaten anything at 7.30pm, 2 Ryvita with smidge of butter. So overnights should be fine NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Woke at 5.30 quick Libre check 16.2:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Back to drawing board

Was running late for a meeting the other day due to catching the wrong bus. Ended up sprint-walking across Adelaide town with hold ups for lights - 2 and a bit kms. BSL 12 mmol/l on arrival, 11 mmol/l at 2 1/2 hours later. but decided against correction dose and at the 4 hour mark after the morning 'walking surge' (that is at 1.30 pm) I lowered the pump's basal rate by 20% for 4 hours.
Fluids but no carbs all morning. (that is after breakfast, 30 g carb).
Slower wander back to the (correct) bus stop with some relaxing browsing along the way.
BSL lowest 3.6 mmol/l at about 4 pm, (the approx 6 hour BSL drop after exercise).
Normal BSLs all evening and night. And almost caught again, BSL 2 hours after breakfast next morning 4.0 mmol/l, so heightened insulin sensitivity presumably carrying over from the exercise of the day before.
We live and learn.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Morning y'all and a waking 12 for me, I didn't know whether to say 'Mels car' or poppycock so I had 2 extra units and will wait for the drop. glad it's Friday though :)

It was my Libre sensors last day yesterday and read low compared to a finger stick in the morning, but read high when I had a hypo in the afternoon, I felt it coming though and parked my ladders whilst I cured it with Dextrotabs.

Glad you were not up on the ladders !!!

Glad you were not up on the ladders !!!

Many years ago (well about 10) I used to clean a house where I needed a gate opening to get round the back, one month the lady was out so I thought I'd hop over her garage, bloods dropping slyly as I worked out what I was doing, her garage had a metal trim so I slid a bit and jumped onto the roof, all ok so far :) pulled the ladders up and over to drop down at the back, cleaned the windows and hopped back onto the roof only to find I couldn't get back on the ladders at the front :p by this time I realised there was a little hypo happening and ate my last 3 Dextrotabs, before ringing the girlfriend at the time to come stand my ladders so I could get back down.

Only took her an hour to get there, but it was a warm day...

And darn it you could not use the excuse that you were star gazing !!! New law: All roof gutters to contain gluco-tabs in a waterproof but easily opened container and a mattress parked on the ground below !!

Morning :)

All fine in this part of the multiverse just watching my BSL creeping up slowly so will catch the spike in maybe an hour or so.

@kev-w Scary moments with the ladders Kev but guess it adds to the excitement of being a T1D bit like driving and being Hypo which makes for an interesting journey.

Morning all, 6.3 this morning good to start the day off with a half decent number, I quite agree @CranberryIce it does seem to make the rest of the day go better if you do start well.

I have a sore throat at the mo, started to irritate late last night, suspect it's this WORK virus! (thanks Sue!) but seriously any recommendations for something to sooth my throat that won't impact my BG too much - unlike Lockets and the like?

Morning! 5.5 on waking :)

Alarm goes off at 3.30- Spike says 3.6. Finger Prick says 4.9 *grr*.

Hope you all have a good Friday! x

Glad you go the guess right for the meal out :)

The above is one reason I switched the alarms off and the other thing is I found that as you pass the 'alarm mark' whether you were heading up or down the alarm would go off ~sigh~

It's a couple of sky hooks that I need :p

You need to do a finger prick as well because it is not unknown that once they get out of the 'ideal range' the reading can be a little way off, it may not be as high as you think. Hope so :)

Loving my new, half unit, smooth injecting Novo Echo pen. Only 2 days in, but loving the Fiasp too. Early days but so far it is doing what it says on the tin. It is my Ladies that Lunch day though, so it could all go belly up!
Have a good day all.

Thanks Helen, I love ginger, might nip to the shops and see if I can get any. Mind you no tea strainer at work so will have to be the teeth!
Slice the ginger .Still works and easier to avoid.
