Morning all!

Off to North Wales today for a long weekend with a couple of thousand of my closest friends for the annual Alarm Gathering. Gigs four nights running, let’s see what madam bg makes of it all. Bit lumpy atm, drops early morning and then surging with a foot on the floor. Too low after lunch. High again late afternoon, so have adjusted basal for that. Just when you think you’ve got things running smoothly...

Good morning, woke up on a 4.0 and a blanket of frost outside. My Bs yesterday and this morning have been so good, I put it down to the diy of daughter's chest of draws in the afternoon, plus extra cleaning and tidying, because I am having an electrical inspection this morning ( housing association) between 8 and 12pm.
Yesterday's reading's :-
BK- 5.7
L - 7.1
D - 6.0
Bed-7.5 that's a groundhog day I would enjoy over and over again
Take care guys :)

Morning all - today I return to the British cold. I hope it has warmed up a little by the time my plane lands as I don't fancy scraping the ice off my car.
My Bg will be glad to leave the uncertainty of the conference but, unusually, there has been some fun.
The highlight was last night when we decided to join the Barca fans in Camp Nou. It is many years since I watched a footie match live and had forgotten how good the atmosphere could be (we were surrounded by Barca fans in full voice).
As I was there with some American colleagues, I had to explain the rules at times, including why a goal was disallowed due to the off-side rule.

I hope your day is not too cold and no one slips (yep @slip gets a mention again) on any ice

Hope you have a safe and pleasant trip:)

Good morning all.
Woke to an alarm this morning (not your alarm @Mel dCP :) ) but a 3.2. Small correction with breakfast then all good.
-5 degrees when I got to the other half car, luckily I put a towel over the windscreen last night. Another good way to defrost your windscreen is to put warm water into a ziploc bag and rub that over the screen.....keeps your hands warm as well as clearing the screen.....thank you FB for that little gem

 had forgotten about them :***: I had disposable ones like that as well.

Was going to say "thanks for sharing" but would rather not :hilarious:

Agreed. I try to forget these things BUT some person with no knowledge of who their father is comes up and posts a reminder on the dreaded FB page lol

Which FB page is this?

I had a nosey at the True Grit one but as I am not a low carber I doubt I would be let in.

This came up on a FB page last night. Brought back painful memories from 48 years ago AGAIN. Soooo glad we have moved on a bitView attachment 30965

Ouch!

My first ever DSN at dx, Sister Carmichael, was coming up for retirement when I was dx'd 30 yrs ago, so had lots of experience of that sort of stuff.

She told me a story about a couple of youngsters under her care who liked to wind up their parents by "pinching an inch", jabbing the really long needle in one side, poking it through the other side and squirting the bolus at them.

Crumbs...:bag: That's one heck of a trick to play on your parents !

Safe travels today @Mel dCP Hope the weather stays safe for you.

My car registered -5 this morning, have heard it was -8 in some parts, currently wearing long, sleeved top, fleece, body warmer and coat, don't plan to remove any of it today...

Oh my word.....I had trouble poking that thing in just the once never mind going thru the pinched up bit of skin. I actually shuddered at the thought :inpain::inpain::inpain::inpain:
