Morning everyone,
Can't hear myself think!! Guys in the back with noisy saws, guy in the front with a manic munching machine getting rid of the wood but I'm happy. Not sure what the birds think.
Madam's having a good day too with a splendid 5.9. That'll do nicely

Woe is me.

My blood did not want to be extracted this morning and there wasn't another nurse around to bail this one out. At least, it didn't want to be extracted from my veins. I offered the copious amounts from my finger as I did a test before wandering off but apparently trying again tomorrow morning is the preferred option. For the nurse, that is. Definitely not me.

Also, I've finally signed up for on-line access to records/appointments/repeat prescriptions and what have you and the system is adamantly not letting me in. Still, as I've got to go back tomorrow, I can sort it. I hope...

I shall take my woes off to be soothed with lunch out.

Morning all. Having a day off teaching today so I can go to my old lady sewing club and teenager’s sixth form options thing. Had wet paper towels thrown at my back yesterday and glue all over my handbag, so that was nice. Bg steady though. Going out on first responder call tomorrow, at least my “customers” there are usually pleased to see me.

@emily deacon - I eat low carb but tend to only eat in the evening. I only eat breakfast if we’re out, and lunch occasionally. I tend to stick to eggs and more eggs! Mushrooms, salad, Quorn (I don’t eat meat) and cheese, plus things like avocado, olives and hummus made with roasted cauliflower are good if you want lunch on the go. You may be better asking your question in the low carb section - there’s only a couple of low carbers on this thread. Most T1s tend to eat the carbs and dose for them, so it would be a good one to ask the T2s :)

@helensaramay - Now we have diacabulary, explaining and mansplaining, maybe we need diasplaining?
STOP IT NOW :hilarious:
Don't forget mandiasplaining.
And I have been the "victim" of mandiasplaining when an ex-colleague tried to tell me the I did not have juvenile diabetes.
Really, stop it :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:. Google is starting to think I am weird!!! @Knikki - not a word!

Good morning all. Dead flat line last night. Went to bed on a 5.9 and woke with a 5.9 :) 2 slices of toast this morning for breakfast instead of cereal and now my bloods are 11 *** lol

From now on I am only reading words I know! If it hurts my eyes and taxes my brain I am not reading it :bag::bag:

@Mel dCP that seems like a really nice school. Really couldn't teach! When I was in school we used to get hammered by our teachers, I am sure a lot used to enjoy inflicting pain and suffering

Hello and good morning friends

Went to look at a Sausage Dog Puppy last night

They live a mile away from us and we know the owners through a mutual friend

Our hearts melted when we saw this young lady

We have slept on making a decision

I'm not having a great one today. Woken up about quarter past 1 to my xDrip alarm and confirmed a mild hypo at 3.7 - treated, waited patiently.. 3.7. Treated again, waited patiently.. 8.0 - roll back over to sleep. Next thing, my normal alarm is beaten by 5 minutes by xDrip again with another 3.7 (I missed the warning sound I have set in the low 4s it seems) which not only makes me late because I can't drive until the mandated time has passed after getting back over 5.0 but I then of course end up in double figures because I've fuelled the morning rise I get from driving with sugar.

Feeling like I've had enough of today already now.

Oh!! @Mel dCP , do you ever feel like the female equivalent of Sydney Poitier in "To Sir With Love"? I feel for you.
I suppose a paper rocket throwing contest and a McCourt-inspired essay would not harness mischievous minds? I can email some paper kite plans!! A trip to a local dog or cat pound? A lesson in low carb ?? What will you eat in 2030 ? Just glad you have adapted rather than reacted and your BG is all the better for it!!
Sometimes the licks in life can be rough !!
