I like all the foodstuffs @scot-C lists, but no, not housework. There has to be some rousing music in the earphones to get me through it, or maybe people coming over which opens my eyes to this swamp

@Scott-C I'll go for all the things on that list thanks. And I was really looking forward to home-made lasagne tonight; had got it out of the freezer, friend came round and we left her two dogs (regular visitors) and mine whilst we ran an errand. Before we got in the car I came back to the house for a jacket and - yep, you know what's coming - her spaniel had eaten my dinner. In less than a minute. Looks like we need a debate on the merits of eating lasagne frozen; kind of savoury dog ice cream.

Happy to kick off: Pro olives (but mainly black/purple ones), pistachio's (need to be cheaper), fresh spinach (raw in a salad, cooked, baked, stir-fried and for the guinea-pigs), contra croutons (who needs the unexpected sensation of breaking a tooth while munching on an otherwise fine salad, even when it was only the crouton?)

Hmm, @Antje77 , I'm going to have to step up the game: how about Greggs steak-bakes, pork pies and stroopwafels?

These are always highly contested foods in the T1 world!

@helensaramay Past tense???? :arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh:

Anyway sat here listening to Japan: Gentlemen Take Polaroids and wondering why the Chuffty McBuff I never bought this back in the 80's

Spag Bol for tea so that's full on 90+ carbs, split dose so waiting for the hit in about an hour or so :)

Saw Japan in concert in 1982 with Blancmange as the support act. The worst concert by a country mile that i have ever been to Truly atrocious

Who is Gregg? Not sure what steak-bakes and pork pies are but very much willing to try them with the possible exception of Gregg, I'll have to meet him first.

I like stroopwafels, but only when fresly baked and suffering burns on hands from leaking stroop. The cold supermarket ones aren't worth the hassle of juggling insulin and skyrocketing bg to me.

What is a stroopwafel please?

And if someone is going to Greggs, could you bring me back a couple of the vegan sausage rolls? :hungry:

Wow! Why?

Husband comments that as a dedicated metal-head (side offering of opera) I would probably agree with you...

Morning all!

This might just be a bus rather than walk to work morning - I failed to take into account just how much gubbins has to go back to work this morning. Oh well... I'm hitting this week head on, with a job list to frighten them all. And on a perfect fasting number, too.

Let the week begin.

Hi @WuTwo As a dedicated metalhead myself I was working in London with a number of others. A couple of them had gone to see a rock concert with me so I returned the favour by going to see Japan who were one of biggest UK acts at that time.

I did go with an open mind but it was truly dreadful. Japan were shocking but Blancmange, who had just had a huge hit with Living on the Ceiling, were off the scale bad

Not looking forward to today, have to be in court as a witness. Need to get out early for a walk then drop my dog off with a friend as I've no idea what time I might be home. Started higher than I'd like in the 8s today, need a brisk walk to help with that!

Hope it goes ok, stress can do funny things to bg, careful not to overcorrect x

@smc4761 Double points for going then! Dunno if I could have faced it. Especially in my younger days. Now I'd find a really, really good excuse (broke a toenail or something like that). Two hours of appalling attempts at music? Noooooooooooooo ,..........
