My bf bought me Oatly single cream and I don’t know what to do with it. I remember trying alpro single cream, like a dab on my finger and it wasn’t tasty. according to my bf you pour it on cheesecake. :o
So single cream ok in coffee? Do you still pour milk with it?
Over strawberries?

The Half Termly Major Paperwork Tidy Up is remarkably energetic... well, this one often is as it's when I make sure everything is ready for tax self-assessment time (as I thought, a P60 is floating around somewhere not with me, but as we have a new on-line payroll system which means I need to go and print out pay slips so it may be there. I quite like the old-fashioned system of monthly pay-slips, but that worked better when it was a smaller workplace. Former Main Paid Workplace had on-line payroll so I'm well used to it.) plus I'm due a DBS check at Main Paid Work, and I never quite tidied up after Easter with the organist's stuff this year either. It's all looking much better now in the music room and the door is closed on it until Sunday morning now.

So, what to do with the last bits of freedom for this academic year, other than whatever I feel like!!

I just use it like any cream - in drinks, cooking, poured on etc...

@SueJB if you can get a Libre prescribed, they would give you a dedicated reader. You can scan it with most android phones, of newer (model 7 or higher) iPhones. That’s the basic setup and you have to manually scan yourself when you want a reading. If you add a transmitter like a MiaoMiao (you need to buy that yourself) it will scan the sensor for you every five minutes and send that number to your (doesn’t have to be particularly new) phone - but you do need a functioning phone for this. However, this setup will give you alarms if you go out of your desired range. You can do it on a budget :) Hope that makes sense, happy to explain further via pm x

@Japes - I have to send my DBS stuff off to the uni, must be something in the air!

Seems like the D-emon has been visiting us all in the night, I was rudely awoken by a 2.9 at 7am... :arghh::arghh::arghh: Quickly fixed by turning the insulin off for half an hour and shoving two dextrose tabs down my neck, so I could roll over and go back to sleep until about an hour ago. Hope you all manage to stabilise things as easily ❤️

Off to Kew with a picnic today, there’s an exhibition of Chihuly glass sculptures I really want to see - I’m a massive fan of his work since I saw the one hanging in the V&A.

@Mel dCP you'll love the Chihuly. I haven't seen this one but quite a few years ago Kew had another of his exhibitions. I saw it as Kew was one of my clients at the time and I was lucky enough to be on site during the exhibition. Seriously wow, though I have this conflict about people who design but leave others to make and construct...kind of, whose piece of art is it in the end?

Definitely something in the air, awoke at 2:30am on a 2.8. Interesting as had last food at 4pm and a fish and chip extra bolus at 7pm. Stayed steady until 1am and then took a dive. The delayed rise from the fatty meal was an amazing 3 hours!

I noticed the dogo and died a little inside, so flooooooofy. :O

I tried the cream, poured a little inside my coffee, with ice, some soy milk and some sugar free syrup, it's not bad. If you guys see me grow another chin, you'll know why. :hilarious:

A surprising number of Android phones don't have the required NFC - if your phone doesn't have it, you need the dedicated reader.

My best tip for weight loss is to go caving. The last trip I did, 6 hours long, I think I was 1.5kg lighter at the end of it.

Anybody pointing out that the traditional thing to do after caving is drink a lot of beer which will more than compensate for that will get ignored :-)

Phew, finally home and eaten my usual bowl of veggies, salad, sunflower seeds, parmegan & olive oil with basil. Yum.

Dinner will be late! I couldn't face it too soon after stuffing that big bowl of food.

Saw the nurse practitioner about my big toe nail. He noticed that it's both big toenails. He said they appear to be lifting from the nailbed but there is no sign of fungal infection. He's asked that I take regular pix and brief notes, and in a few weeks go back and see him again. At the moment he can't see a cause but agrees it seems to be spreading, and apparently I might well lose the nails!
Bit hacked off about that but it could be worse I suppose.

@evilclive . I know for a fact that your suggestion for weight loss would work a treat for me.
The thought of going underground would be enough to scare a fair few pounds out of me.;).
I can only imagine the adrenaline rush you must get from pot holing, sadly it’s not a rush I would want.

It's not really an adrenaline sport, though fear of heights in a vertical cave or proper claustrophobia in a small cave may change that...). More a lot of scroffling through passages and going up and down ropes. Muddy, cold and wet rather than "Duuuude!". Unlike say climbing where you're supposed to push yourself to your limits, it's best to not do that underground, because getting out if you've gone beyond them is not going to be easy. But the environment is completely different, it can be an interesting challenge working out how to get your body through something, and it can be beautiful. The smell of the air when you come out again is lovely too :-)

Well that's a great start with the nails. I had my usual shower and decided to trim & file my nails per instructions. I promptly took a small piece out of each toe along with the piece of nail I was clipping. The bleeding appears to have stopped now, and I decided that until these are sorted out nail clipping will happen at my favourite podiatrist in town. Of course, having clipped the nails (and toes) down, I won't need to go for a few weeks but I will be sure to book early!

Used to enjoy going caving in the Mendips with school - couldn’t do it now unless they have big pot holes etc as I’ve grown a bit (ok a lot) since then!!
