Can I have travel barley sugar with type 2 if feeling a little dizzy

Personally I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole. Would your dizziness be caused by low sugar? Do you know what causes you to be dizzy?

My feeling is it would be better to establish why you’re feeling dizzy first. Do you have a blood glucose meter? You really need to test to see what your blood sugar is before eating sweets. Your profile says you’re not on any meds, so as a type 2 you’re very unlikely to be hypo. You might have high blood sugar or maybe dehydrated or low BP is that a possibility?

I've had a few instances where I thought I was starting to have a hypo. On testing my glucose, it was either within 'normal' range or even a wee bit on the high side. I recently found out that my blood pressure occasionally drops too low (its usually high!) and makes me feel the same way as when a hypo is starting. So maybe get your BP checked? As for the barley sugar, I would recommend dextrose tablets or a tube of glucogel instead

Mmmm! Barley sugar, I have not eaten any of that for a good many years.
