Type 2 diabetes reversed

Hey,

I’m new to this site

I was diagnosed with type 2 about 10 years ago. I always ran very high so my bloods when I tested myself were almost always in the very high teens

I went through a marriage breakup last year where my ex husband was type 1 and very very poorly controlled at that! since the breakup I came off of a lot of medication but in recent weeks/months I started to think my diabetes was in reverse.

I had a full blood test at the surgery on Monday afternoon and yesterday the results came back! Much to my amazement my HBA1C has come back with a level of 34!!!!

I have just spoken to the doctors on the phone and even they can’t believe how low it is too
Now I’m not taking any diabetic medication and will have repeat bloods in 3 months ☺️

Thank you all very much indeed!

Its now going to be quite difficult to manage any highs without having to take anything, but its already sinking in. We had potatoes in our lunch today, tonight will probably be a homemade curry but I've already said no to rice and we'll have salad instead.

I'm finding it quite difficult to get my head around things though as in my previous life I'd have ordered maybe 3 loaves of bread a week, ate biscuits, cakes, and sugar in tea/coffee
I've not had anything like that in a very long time now and the benefits are amazing

Losing over 3 stone in weight has also been managed too :):):)
