Type 2 Life

Have a really good time -I saw that in Oxford a while ago and it was good. I am going to see Hairspray in Milton Keynes. My son is DSM so cheap tickets!

Sorry, I'm showing my ignorance but what is DSM?

Have a great time at the show.

@maureen5752 - Don't take it personally what was said on Type 2 fasting blood glucose thread, it's aimed at everybody. You are just as valuable as the next member on this forum, so please don't stop.
Thanks Liam but it was strange the remark was made straight after I posted? We need to interact not just post our bgs, how can we learn from each othere otherwise, it's trial & error. We learn from each other. Have a great day and good luck for your appiontment, sure you will be ok (hug)

@doolallylady - Karen are you about? Want to ask you about this Black Screen???

Sorry I haven't replied before William. I keep getting logged out (including today) and I'm sometimes getting a black screen (in the centre, colour still surrounding) in new tabs, everything on that page freezes (including my wireless mouse), I have to close everything down and open a new window. I've checked my laptop, defragged, full scanned, virus & malware checked etc and everything is coming up clear. I'm at a loss. xx

Hi there,
That particular section is only for posting our fasting readings, we were ALL being reminded, not just you. You can post your readings here, 'Ask a Question' or 'Diabetes Discussions' and there will be plenty willing to help, sympathise, cheer you up or whatever you need.
This section is really great for everything including subjects not related to diabetes, the people are so friendly. It would be a great shame for you to miss out on the company, experience and knowledge here

My partner reckons the site has a virus! Every time I switch on my tablet my screen picture disappears, the screen turns jet black but only for a few seconds, then my screen picture comes back. Yes, I too have been on main computer and ran defrag and spyware programme - but still does it on my tablet. Most odd!!

I made my way to Hobby Craft, thankfully I didn't go crazy (I could easily go bonkers in there). As I finished there my alarm went off to check my bloods post lunch, the closest place with a bathroom to wash my hands was a McDs. I'm I went and washed hands, tested, all good. I decided to have a cuppa. I was sitting there having my T looking at my purchases when I felt something hit my head, I reached up and there was a chip in my hair ! Then to the sounds of laughter more chips where flung at me !! I let off a *Mike Foxtrot* bomb and went up to the manager. After telling him kids are throwing food I left. Unfortunately for me the culprits left too. 3 young teenage boys proceeded to intimidate me all the way to the bus stop, jeering my Irish Accent and making rude masturbatory gestures and generally being obnoxious. I finally got clear of them but I feel so ****** now. I don't like the fact that I can be intimidated like that, the embarrassment burns me.

@paula.nolan42

Sorry to hear of your nasty encounter with the 3 little darlings, you know the ones who (usually according to their parents) are angels, members of MENSA and are generally an asset to society and wonderful human beings.

You have nothing to be embarrassed about, anyone would feel intimidated, but when you look back on the incident you will feel relieved and ecstatic that they don't belong to you or yours and feel extreme sympathy for the families who take the credit for their wonderful upbringing.

@paula.nolan42 that's disgusting. Please don't let a fool upset your system.
We appreciate you shame they don't have the brain cells to also.
When they study irish history or something irish at school their ignorance will show. Fools! Hugs galore hun xxx

@paula.nolan42 what a dreadful experience! I'm not surprised it has left you shaken. Everybody would be intimidated in this position.

Thank you, one of the things I love about this site is the support and warmth of the people here. It's much appreciated.

Enjoy the rest of the evening and all have a peaceful night. Wishing good readings on everyone for the morning. Take care. xx

@paula.nolan42 what diisgusting behaviour by a bunch of idiots. My second eldest daughter just looooves anyone with an irish accent and if you had come across her in a Mcds ahe would have wanted to sit and chat with you for an hour.

Nice work @amgrundy ,
at home and work, when working nights I have haddock / cod coated with ground almonds, it works really well and now I would never go back to breadcrumbs..... not that I would as Bread is the devil. I've often wondered about just battered fish from a chippie but never quite had courage......

I love when that happens. I'd be happy to talk to her

It must be working, nice result @Lorraine deer

I've not visited the "what's your FBG" thread for a long time. When the last one crashed and burned I was not too sure which to watch, this or it's replacement. The title is very concise and easy to deviate from. The mods have an important function, I know the thought police picked me up recently and I would say, correctly.
This thread, I think, with it's title means more or less anything can be discussed as long as it relates to our lives as T2. We don't really go on too much about our BG's, I think we all accept we would like them to be something different. What is important is that we have have somewhere we can chat about DB things that might be getting to us.
I would hope this thread would be of interest to newbies... but you can't force anyone.
At the moment I seem to be an slightly strange place and still not too sure why. All my FBG and before evening meals this week have been less than 5.0..... and I have no idea why.
Off to watch Blue Eyes on More4, more scandi drama.
Have a good evening.

I could have danced all night - or watched Flavia and Vincent dance rather. DIL and I loved the show, the men had a long walk and a cuppa! while we were gone and everyone was happy - Except! My bloods were 9.3!!!! before bed, usually 4 or 5 point something -well, I don't get out much and they were back to normal this morning
