Morning Folks,
7.3 this morning so frustrating.
I had a week of being in the 6's for my fasting, my weekly average has been between 5.7 And 5.9 for the last few weeks, before food I average 5.6 and after I average 5.7.
I feel like I am doing something wrong and am going in the wrong direction. If I had eaten someting full of carbs or fallen off the wagon in a spectaculair fashion then I would get it and put that right but
I am being angelic over food, sticking below 20g carbs a day, I am excercising......I am losing weight.
I Know I am new to this but I really hoped to be getting fastings in the low to mid 6's by now.......
In a word arrrgh!
I think I've recovered, just awaiting the results after my course or antibiotics they should be available around Wednesday.Hi @Stallen - you fully recovered then? When I took Humira I had the same HAH as you. But, I now have a company called Evolution who arrange the delivery of Cosentyx and although I have registered on line, Evolution cannot give me a definite time scale, nor do they text me within an hour of delivery - like HAH did.
I have had what is called the "loading dose" (2 injections a week for 4 weeks) and from tomorrow it is now 2 injections monthly.
I've just been out on Gabapentin. The night dose with amitriptyline means I've slept solidly (3 nights in a row) for the first time on maybe 15 years, possibly more. I've got widespread arthritis and fibromyalgia. The morning dose takes the fatigue type pain from soft tissue and tho the arthritic pain seems sharper I can cope with it better. Doc said he would titrate upwards if necessary. I think I probs need a midday dose as opposed to stronger@Charliek3 - Hi - an interesting read. Over the years I had taken Naproxen, Tramadol, Codiene Phosphate, Pregabalin, Amitriptyline, Valium to name a few to kill pain. And I do use a T.E.N.S machine and Heat Pads and I am allowed to take Paracetamol and Ibuprofen - but only if I really need them. This COSENTYX is a Biological Drug and will be my 3rd to date. I would be interested to know the name of this drug that you are going to volunteer yourself to take? More so as you mentioned it to be for Diabetes. How long have you been Diabetic? And are you Insulin, Tablet or just Diet controlled?
Providing I keep moving the pain is bearable, it's night time in bed that drives me crazy, because I just feel the pain building in my joints after about 20 minutes and I have to move position, this go's on all night and I am exhausted. I do find that during the day I have what I call 'cat naps' when sat. I don't know if you have read my previous threads? I have Arthritis in my Lumbar Region and also 2 Herniated Disc's = L4/5 & L5/S1 plus the Sciatica and other joint pain. I hope you will also keep updating on this thread so I can follow your progress too? (With Diabetes and Pain Relief). To tag a person place @ followed by their Avatar name. Oh, and I am sending you Happy Birthday Wishes.
I've been doing LCHF since January and still can't get my fbg down. 7Morning Folks,

Tramadol didn't help me much and I used to itch like monkey....tried lots of others too with little effect. Naproxen was best but I was taken off it....Lyrica (Gabapentin) best to date. Fingers crossed its a viable option for you@Sable_Jan - Thank You for the information and the drug name, I will mention it when I next see my GP. I have been back taking the Tramadol for a couple of weeks now, in order to get a good 5 - 6 hours sleep a night. And finally after being referred in February have got an appointment to see a Rheumatologist in June. During the day so long as I keep myself moving/on the go I am fine, sitting and standing for 20 minutes is my limit - the ache/pain just builds up in the joints. Night time in bed is not so good, but the Tramadol now gives me enough hours of sleep even though it makes me feel a bit of a Zombie in the morning's! That's a small price to pay.
Ooh, lots of sugary tea....that's really bad....the 6.8 is reasonable now but what are you going to spike tooPost recorded at 1:28 pm on Monday 25th April, 2016.
Today I've had a can of tuna chunks eaten out of the can in sunflower oil, several sugary cups of tea each with three sugars and Coffeemate and endless glasses of tap water. Took Metformin and ADHD medication later than usual.
Blood Glucose Reading at 1:30 pm:- 6.8.
