Morning All. Waiting for delivery today, anytime between 9am - 5pm for the Courier to deliver Injections. @13lizanne - Anna enjoy your lunch time out with Hubby and Son. @mo53 Hope your back is better, still take things easy. @amgrundy - Arlene good fasting result, tell your Doc what Hell you have put up with the shoulder - maybe shed a tear or two!!!:)

Who delivers your injections? Mine come from HAH healthcare at Home and can track delivery times.

In a word arrrgh!

You will have more of those episodes. Don't worry about it. You could do exactly the same thing one day to the next, but never expect the numbers will follow. Not so much a chase for consistent figures (desirable though that is) but a pursuit of staying within the desired range.

Sending you hugs @Lindy1706 , my BG has been a bit like a yoyo as well. Yesterday I was 6.8 and this morning I was 7.1! I'm trying not to get too worried about it, I just concentrate on my average instead. Hope yours gets better soon

HI liam 1955 will do !!!!!!:)

Have a special pampering day today @liam1955 If I have to stay in for a delivery etc I use it as an excuse to binge watch a box set or read a new novel. Plenty of tea and anything else that makes you feel happy ( but step away from the chocolate) xx

Hi @Stallen - you fully recovered then? When I took Humira I had the same HAH as you. But, I now have a company called Evolution who arrange the delivery of Cosentyx and although I have registered on line, Evolution cannot give me a definite time scale, nor do they text me within an hour of delivery - like HAH did.
I have had what is called the "loading dose" (2 injections a week for 4 weeks) and from tomorrow it is now 2 injections monthly.

Morning Folks,

7.3 this morning so frustrating.

I had a week of being in the 6's for my fasting, my weekly average has been between 5.7 And 5.9 for the last few weeks, before food I average 5.6 and after I average 5.7.

I feel like I am doing something wrong and am going in the wrong direction. If I had eaten someting full of carbs or fallen off the wagon in a spectaculair fashion then I would get it and put that right but

I am being angelic over food, sticking below 20g carbs a day, I am excercising......I am losing weight.

I Know I am new to this but I really hoped to be getting fastings in the low to mid 6's by now.......

Hi @Lindy1706
A couple of months ago I was having fasting readings going up at one time into the 7's and started to get concerned. Still can't say why but could have been stress, fighting an infection, sleep or even cold weather. I did end up going to GP who agreed to do HbA1c which came back as 33 same as 6 months before. I now think sometimes fasting readings can go up but as long as your other readings are OK then try not to worry. Even worry can raise blood sugars.

@liam1955 I hope they come early to deliver for you. I find these anytime in the day deliveries really frustrating. My back is better than it was but still painful when I stand up and when I try to walk. The sun is shining and I'd love to be out gardening. :)

@mo53 - Epsom Salts sprinkled in bath water and a good 20 minutes soak is very good for Lumbago, Sprains and Aches. ( I am going to buy some as it can be used for quite a number of things: Household, Health and even in the Garden):)

I think I've recovered, just awaiting the results after my course or antibiotics they should be available around Wednesday.
Yesterday I had a very good day, I've been resting up at home, no gym this weekend, just the odd walk to the shops I definitely feel the benefits of a lazy few days.
That said on Friday I weighed in at 11st 12lb, last night I was 12st 7lbs then back to 12st 2lb this morning, I've been drinking a lot of fluids past few days and only healthy veg it's been more a Mediterranean diet than LCHF this week.
HAH are pretty good it's a shame others can't offer the same service, I pretty much dislike waiting around courier services even though I've worked for one in the past, hopefully you'll get a early delivery.
Best of luck with the treatment.

@Charliek3 - Hi - an interesting read. Over the years I had taken Naproxen, Tramadol, Codiene Phosphate, Pregabalin, Amitriptyline, Valium to name a few to kill pain. And I do use a T.E.N.S machine and Heat Pads and I am allowed to take Paracetamol and Ibuprofen - but only if I really need them. This COSENTYX is a Biological Drug and will be my 3rd to date. I would be interested to know the name of this drug that you are going to volunteer yourself to take? More so as you mentioned it to be for Diabetes. How long have you been Diabetic? And are you Insulin, Tablet or just Diet controlled?
Providing I keep moving the pain is bearable, it's night time in bed that drives me crazy, because I just feel the pain building in my joints after about 20 minutes and I have to move position, this go's on all night and I am exhausted. I do find that during the day I have what I call 'cat naps' when sat. I don't know if you have read my previous threads? I have Arthritis in my Lumbar Region and also 2 Herniated Disc's = L4/5 & L5/S1 plus the Sciatica and other joint pain. I hope you will also keep updating on this thread so I can follow your progress too? (With Diabetes and Pain Relief). To tag a person place @ followed by their Avatar name. Oh, and I am sending you Happy Birthday Wishes. :)
I've just been out on Gabapentin. The night dose with amitriptyline means I've slept solidly (3 nights in a row) for the first time on maybe 15 years, possibly more. I've got widespread arthritis and fibromyalgia. The morning dose takes the fatigue type pain from soft tissue and tho the arthritic pain seems sharper I can cope with it better. Doc said he would titrate upwards if necessary. I think I probs need a midday dose as opposed to stronger
Hope this is of help to you

mmm not so good at walking @ickihun .. had cancer in my knee when 19 so had to lose my leg ;) **** happens as they say, all good and clear for years. If I push it on the walking it takes a while to recover - hence swimming is good for me. I'm making new mates at the pool which is encouraging - and getting ribbed in the showers if I'm lazy and miss a day. All good for motivation! Trapped nerve sounds bad, but I'm sure that toddler keeps you active!

Post breakfast down to 5.4 so I'm happier now - all those 7s and 8s were not good. Diet better today - snack was a super tasty avocado.

@Lindy1706 you are doing so well, don't be hard on yourself. Your diet always sounds great, you are one of the good ones!

@Sable_Jan - Thank You for the information and the drug name, I will mention it when I next see my GP. I have been back taking the Tramadol for a couple of weeks now, in order to get a good 5 - 6 hours sleep a night. And finally after being referred in February have got an appointment to see a Rheumatologist in June. During the day so long as I keep myself moving/on the go I am fine, sitting and standing for 20 minutes is my limit - the ache/pain just builds up in the joints. Night time in bed is not so good, but the Tramadol now gives me enough hours of sleep even though it makes me feel a bit of a Zombie in the morning's! That's a small price to pay.:)

I've been doing LCHF since January and still can't get my fbg down. 7
8 this morning . But my other numbers are getting better, and people on this forum have said it can take 6 months to see a drop in fbg. Keep focusing on what you have achieved already

Today I've had a can of tuna chunks eaten out of the can in sunflower oil, several sugary cups of tea each with three sugars and Coffeemate and endless glasses of tap water. Took Metformin and ADHD medication later than usual.

Blood Glucose Reading at 1:30 pm:- 6.8.

Hi everyone,

Hope it's a good day for you all.

@liam1955, I was enjoying our games yesterday too, but I had the dreaded black screen again so closed everything down. I think you put a hex on me, just when I'm winning :hilarious:, (chance would be a fine thing). Hope the delivery doesn't keep you waiting all day. You can lay money on it that if I'm expecting a delivery of anything, and I'm the only 1 at home, they will knock when I'm on the loo .
I've got skin back on my nose again, hooray, at least I'm not frightening kids now :bag:.

Tramadol didn't help me much and I used to itch like monkey....tried lots of others too with little effect. Naproxen was best but I was taken off it....Lyrica (Gabapentin) best to date. Fingers crossed its a viable option for you

Ooh, lots of sugary tea....that's really bad....the 6.8 is reasonable now but what are you going to spike too
Total Sweet isn't cheap at £2.50/bag in Sainsbury's but granulated and used just like sugar but only 25% available carbs.....NO horrible aftertaste either.....I don't sweeten tea but have a sprinkle on porridge....
Tuna in oil is good though
