Type 2 Life

I usually have 2 projects on the go, a portable one and a larger one which I work on at home. The portable one is a pair of socks and the larger one is a cardigan, I only started it last week so I'm just getting used to the pattern
 
DONE! Lots of new plants in and watered and 'Im now sitting in a sunny conservatory, deciding which way to vote this afternoon to keep them in their toes...haha.

I'm on a crochet blanket at the mo but not picked it up for over a week. Using two strands of dk any colours cos it's for the dogs. I say "any" colour but still found myself "coordinating"

Strange how the colours look on the pic.. it's shades of greens and browns and a bit of burgundy..with several dog hairs thrown in
 
Phew, what a busy morning. Dogs as usual after breakfast. Walked Rocks, like a normal person woohoo ..
Put up security light, old one was goosed, flipped switch, blew fuse.. unplugged it, gave up for now, hoovered all downstairs after a fashion, waiting for youngest to bring KFC for dinner. Also emptied washer if Nina's rags and out in dryer. On its second cycle, sensor is carp....
Am Donald Ducked now so having a brew
 
Hi Folks:) Went to see GP and took sample of Urine (my urine been burning of late) found trace of Protein in it, so sending it off to Hospital. Checked my inflamed throat and got 500mg Clairithromycin 1 tablet every 12 hours, and showed him my groin, and yep it's thrush, got for this Clotrimazole Cream - said I had stopped the Dapagliflozin a week ago and this is the 3rd time in a month this rash had appeared, and my blood sugars have shot up - increased Insulin to 44 units a day.:)

So sorry to hear that Liam. Three times in a month, must be so frustrating. Hang in there.

Not good and your antibiotics will only make you more prone to it. Water and throat infections too.... Sending you very big gentle hugs
 
@Sable_Jan - Thanks for the hugs:) - Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated? I'm drinking more water to flush out my kidneys. Been on Dapagliflozin nearly a year and it's made me suffer with burning urine and thrush several times - never had these conditions before - till taking this drug. I know of other forum members who also suffer whilst taking this drug.:)
 
So today is one of those challenging days. Travelling to Germany, at Stansted - wanting dinner before my 7pm flight. Really only LCHF option is a steak at Giraffe. Now it might be a good steak (time will tell) but everything else on the menu was so carb heavy - well unless I want another salad! At least the olives are good - and a glass of red too. Just a bit frustrating, but maybe that's the rub if you want to make good choices?

Cranberry juice, cranberries or cranberry capsules supplement and as you say lots of water...there's also stuff you can buy from chemists. Sachets you dissolve in water and drink down...don't taste pleasant and I guess you'd have to ask pharmacist for any drug interactions. Am outside at mo or would check what it is. Sainsbury's own tho....

Cranberry juice does help flush the system but some are high in carbs so check when you buy, if you go to lloyds they do sachets of low carb/low sugar cranberry powdered drinks that you can use for thrush, I've bought in the past, I explained I was diabetic and they were very helpful, not the greatest taste tho!!! Good luck

@liam is protein in the water a sign of water infection or is it kidney?
How are you feeling in yourself? we've missed your bubbly chatter.
How is pain relief panning out?

Oh William I've had a painful day. Thrush and trapped wind. Ive been in agony.
Soooo i used cream and..... you'll love this! I used a stick of candy rock (sugar free) to release me. I'm like a bagpipe now. Ha ha
Ahhhh heaven. Bloated tummy gone and crying pain too. I feel a new woman.
Blo#dy tablets. :banghead:

It's leukocytes (white blood cells) in the urine that are signs of a UTI. Protein in the urine can be signs of kidney dysfunction depending what protein it is (like albumin, a protein that should not be in urine). Sometimes people show proteins in urine for no known cause. :)
