Welcome back Anne clad you enjoyed your holiday off to docs today for some answers but it's not looking good at min after recent test resultsMorning everyone, back home again after a peaceful, relaxing holiday amid gorgeous scenery. Hope everyone is doing OK. Hope your pain is not too bad today @liam1955 and @eldergarth and @ickihun s barbecue is a success!
Hi @berylc I prefer accu chek. There results are more in keeping with how i feel. I dont suffer hypos easily nor there symptoms due to one of my bp tablets but my meter keeps me right. I can rely on it 99% of the time. None are 100% accurate.
Try a few to get the one for you.
Websites for 2nd hand ones if companies don't send you one. Gp practice gets reps dropping meter to them all the time. There yours!
Let me know how you get on!

@eldergarth try not to worry. They will seek out the problem and offer help. Don't panic yet. The nhs is very good when you have a common problem. I'm hoping it's nerve trapped or similiar and you'll be back to your energetic self again. I was suffering for a few months then gone. I was on crutches and in a right state. Fingers crossed for you.Welcome back Anne clad you enjoyed your holiday off to docs today for some answers but it's not looking good at min after recent test results

Does ibuprofen increase BGs then, @ickihun? Any ideas on codeine?@liam stopped canagliflozin this morning. No weight loss anyway so waste of time. In fact with side affect it increases bg and weight from retained liquids. I drink constantly so not me. Stupid tablet. It's ok for a few weeks then it builds up to tablet from hell. More insulin but I'm hoping long term I can decrease again.
I've ordered r-ala which is a suppliment which makes insulin more desensitive. I should be able to reduce insulin injection amount by 3rd or half.
Should arrive next week so I'll let you know how I get on. In germany it is on prescription to all diabetics, I believe @PenfoldAPD . Can you quiz your germany friend? Is he diabetic or know a german one?
William have a good day today I have my bbq planned so just need some salad and buns for the boys.
Will try and make ice cream low carb later if no pain to distract me.
Took ibuprofen yesterday and today so bgs will be a bit higher til I can strangle them with lchf. Ha ha

The cheap Ibruprofen tablets are coated with sugar. I could take kids sugar free liquid nurofen but much more expensive. My gp would prescribe me tablets but still not sure sugar free.Does ibuprofen increase BGs then, @ickihun? Any ideas on codeine?
Good luck with the r-ala - let us know how you get on.
Hugs x
Ah, yes - I'd better get onto the icecream-making; the family are coming for a BBQ on Saturday evening. Bon appetit! The cheap Ibruprofen tablets are coated with sugar. Co-codamol has been prescriped lately so I cannot see my gp doing them if it goes against specialist care. Also I've never heard paracetamol or co-codamol being a problem for diabetes.
I've had no problem this morning and I didn't take canagliflozin.
Low carb ice cream is made and currently freezing as we speak.
One blueberry and other strawberry.
Hi JBMy blood sugar just now at 3:52 pm was 5.7.
