Thankyou for sharing
A fascinating post
Just goes to show that love conquers all
Not quite I'm here he's there, wants me to go back! But I don't fancy being controlled again, I'm to old to take orders, A relationship is 50/50 not 100/0!!!!! Now your turn, any exciting ventures during your life?

I should have mentioned I had nose and nasal septum surgery 25 years ago due to injury and methinks this might be the problem.
Call you call your specialists secretary for another appointment? You might not need to be referred again. just a thought eddie.

Glad he's got there safely. I get the kids to tell me when they're home safely....10-15 miles. The third is further away not far from @KevinPotts

We are just the same, with a 30, 28 and 24 years old daughter as the baby.

Our eldest has just returned from Hong Kong where he worked as an expat and our second son, came back from a 2 years stint in Australia in Jan....

we went over for 4 months and both of us could live there given the opportunity

I have a confession to make. I've been eating carbs. No sugary ones but occasional white bread.
I woke this morning on a good fbg but because of insulin.
I need to get some groceries in to get back on low carb healthy fat.
I need a bank loan as I'm out of everything.
So food shopping today and monday will make a start.
Ps. Son is eating me out of house and home after illness. Boys! Ha ha
I wouldnt want it any other way. I really appreciate what I've been blessed with.

Me to....children are a wonderful gift

Boy, I'm amazed you can even eat white bread without the "but rot" it gives me now....I tried a tiny piece on hols and suffered for hours

Next Thursday however at my second A1C, I'm then going to start testing Spelt Pave from Tesco my favourite bread and let that be my first added carb test

Fingers crossed for you.
My habits have changed, with or without white bread side affects.
I fear my system will never be 'normal' again. Even on 20g carb.
There is a complication which dr Bernstein refers to in his latest book which I'm monitoring. Hoping not thou.

I know that feeling Vicky, A finished his college course last week and he's eating me out of house and home! Usually Thursday is my main shopping day with a few top ups during the week but this last week I seem to have been getting shopping in nearly every day! If he doesn't find an apprenticeship soon I'm going to be bankrupt

Morning. Had a lay in and still in pyjamas lol. FBG 5.3 mmol/l. No headaches today so far. Going for a shower and changing into casual gear.

I bought a Burgen loaf the other day to try as it was reduced. Oat & linseed it said and 11g carbs per slice. Less than most loaves. Think @Robinredbreast or @Kat100 have it. Still in the freezer as I already had some out...

Oh great...ill try that...although at 11g carb, wow that's about 50% of my daily carbs this lady 3 months or so, will be interesting

Good afternoon, my fine, lovely friends on www.diabetes.co.uk forum,

I have had a bit of a struggle with my adult adhd today that runs concurrently alongside my Asperger syndrome. I've been drinking coffee with two large heaped teaspoons of sugar in each of them and had a very sugary breakfast cereal with milk of chrunchy-nut cornflakes. I've been smoking a lot of roll ups made from old holborn tobacco as well. Went to my GP about the lump I had come up on the instep of my right foot. The GP examined it and said it doesn't resemble a bacterial infection but sometimes diabetics like me don't really feel pain in their feet like non diabetics do and in order to rule out a fracture or a cyst I have to have an x-ray for which she gave me an x-ray form. I told her truthfully that I didn't feel any pain or discomfort from the lump and she says to keep an eye on it and if it turns red or starts to hurt then to make another appointment to see her urgently.

Although I have had a setback with my sugar content and carb abstinence I'm not going to give up trying at all in any way shape or form because I know my health relys on it.

Have a lovely day.

Just got back from hospital with Ron , he will get a letter in about two weeks. He's in pain today and BG levels are up because he's on a steroid nasal spray.

I've had the same sort of sugary, carby binge so you are not alone. For the rest of the day I'm trying to be really good. Shake on it You're going to do the same

The problem I have with low-carb bread is that, if it's nice I'll eat ALL of it (and we're talking loaves and loaves here, folks), and if it's not, well, why bother?
I guess I just have to face the fact that, when it comes to food, I am not to be trusted around anything I really like.
