Very interesting but showing my ignorance, who's William G Stewart? I was away for many years so don't recognise that name or 15 to 1. But you did well

Can anyone help? Taken at same time by. 3 different machines, 6.8. 7.6. 8.6!!!!!!! How come? Which is correct? Same finger, same time, fresh blood each time!
 
There is usually a margin of error with blood glucose testing of up to 15% so the best thing to do for peace of mind is to stick to one meter as testing on different meters will just cause confusion and stress.
 
15 to 1. It has reruns occasionally on challenge.
That's impressive @Cumberland . Some contestants were very intelligent. Intimidated me anyway. You were probables one of them.

Hope everyone is ok this evening. I've had 3 pieces of pizza and I cannot move. Never again.
I used to eat nearly a whole one in my pregnancy days.
Lchf must have shrank my stomach.
I hope I don't have a hypo through the night. They are starting to scare me.
Lchf didn't give me any.
Another reason to resume it. ;)

All of them.
Meter it only there to tell you whether you have increased or decreased and close to hypo or hyper hun.

That is completely normal Maureen my codefree is 1 point higher than my nexus gluco machine at those levels you don't have much to worry about .
I keep to the rule of 1 machine per day
I have the code free machine for when out and about as takes up less space in my pocket so if I know going out for the day I will use code free and if stopping in will use the other one

The answer lies in three different machines. Whilst they're all calibrated to measure the same thing there are "tolerances" which they have to be within. Can't remember what percentage either way but those figures seem to just squeeze in. I believe the Codefree meter tends to read a whole point above my Contour Next and a few others. Comparing readings over 3 machines is like getting weighed on 3 different scales and comparing. What we're interested in (on the whole) is the rise between pre & post readings and using just one meter to do this is the only "accurate" way. That one meter is still subject to accuracy tolerances but isn't likely to be too much out....

I don't have code free metre, usually stick to same metre but just tried different tonight to see, surprising how they vary. Thanks everyone for your help have a good evening all
 
Non of my brothers are diabetics, nor my 2 eldest sisters but the next 2 elder to me are diabetics, do know my one sister only uses accu metre, thinks they're more accurate, everyone to there own. Gonna have a coffee now & sit watch tv
