Hi. FBG 6.9 mmol/l. Been taking a break of sorts from the forums. Health issues, busy personal life and some home improvements have kept me off. Things are settling down into my regular groove and in the mood to get back on form. Have a nice day. Missed you all.

Thanks @catherinecherub . I think I need to get my GP to try and allocate the origin. It's affecting my weight as less active.
The last time I had a really bad bout of sciatica I was still working and - fortunately - had BUPA health insurance as part of my salary package. I went to see a consultant and they sent me for a course of hydrotherapy, which really helped. I don't know how generous your GP practice is, but it might be worth asking....? Failing that, some gentle swimming and stretching would be good, as long as the water's not too cold (so I don't recommend a dip off Roker beach, LOL!). Public swimming pools are probably too cold to do much good, but hotels or spas keep their pools a bit warmer, so there might be an opportunity there if you can find a way of doing it... xx

That's interesting. I'm only getting it after been in a public pool. Time for me to find a decent hotel pool instead.

Most hotels will let you join their swimming club, even if you're not a regular guest at the hotel... (well, that's the case down in this neck of the woods).

London too. I'll make enquires next week. Too busy this week. My days are planned this week already.
Off to make dinner. Hungry! I'm late making it today but not snacking late when I hang on.
How everyone has had a good day, today?

Good afternoon, my friends on the type 2 life forum,

I had a good, enjoyable weekend. FBG this morning was 6.8 mmol. This afternoon, I watched a Revival Meeting Festival on Revelation Christian TV, a non-subscibable channel on Sky and ate 4 packets of Sainsbury's Basics salt and vinegar crisps, 1 packet of plain and 1 packet of cheese and onion then washed it down with a measuring cup full of semi-skimmed milk.

The library's open today and it's rather overcast in South London.

Have a beautiful, productive day to each and every one of my friends on Type 2 Life.

Love

Johnny Baker (@autisticwonder1970 )

Hi. FBG 6.3 mmol/l. Feeling more fresher. I need to have a serious look at my diet re carbs and do more about them. I also need to stop the temptation of the odd treat here and there lol. Hope you are all well.

Doctors make me so mad.

Ron phoned Gp today to see if he could have that EMG or lumbar puncture test . GP told Ron he would have to speak to the neurologist (that's Ron not gp).Ron also told gp that the gabapentin wasnt working again gp Said Ron would have to speak to neurologist. Ron has a letter from the neurologist saying that he could have the EMG if needed and also Ron could go on clonazepam if the gabapentin wasn't working.

Does the letter say how to go about booking the EMG? Could he do it himself perhaps by phoning neurologists secretary and inquiring? Does painkiller come from hospital pharmacy or through GP prescription? If latter perhaps book appointment with GPand take letter along?

Prescription from GP and Ron is going to phone hospital .

Will he go see the GP for his prescription?
Have no idea hun. GP surgery is two minute walk from us. Will have to see what the neurologist says . The prescription for the gabapentin was from the surgery on the advice from the neurologist.

Oh for goodness sake, can the surgery not follow an instruction from the neurologist? Actually, scrub that question if your surgery is anything like mine the GPs and Nurses are great but every time I have a question they ring my surgeon. If I suddenly had acne they would ask my surgeons advice I hope that Ron gets some answers from the hospital

Totally goosed work was hard

Still sorting stuff in our new house

I put up some new light fittings and built a very heavy mirrors glass door double wardrobe 1 down and another to build

Bloods have been low for me inc a few hypos
