Thanks again @Vern .Hello there!
I find the ALA very helpful for Nerve disturbances and it has calmed my Neuropathy down so much its liveable. Sleeping used to be impossible but I get a good 6 hours a night now. Adrenalin is a major cause of palpitations but your Beta Blocker should be addressing that issue? Lanzoprazol is excellent for sorting out Gut issues so heres hoping your palpitations will soon calm down.
Ps @Liam1955 . What strength ala have you been taking?
It can be a worry but he keeps going despite being told when he had his aortic aneurysm op 10 years ago that he might never work again. I keep telling him that if we lived in the USA we'd be bankrupt by now. I know we may complain about it but we're so lucky to have the good ole NHS!Bless him. And you. Scary heart issues are always a concern. Luckily our clever cardiologist are a huge help!
Definitely. I would have died a few times over by now. Especially in childbirth. Every 10yrs I have a big health scare. I'm convinced autoimmune disease. A defective gene.It can be a worry but he keeps going despite being told when he had his aortic aneurysm op 10 years ago that he might never work again. Walking can make a hug difference! Get more walking in for now. I wouldn't make too many changes too quickly. Walking and getting liver blocks in will bring that fbg down if your low carbing.Well the FBG is even higher this morning - I've taken more co-codamol this week as my back has been bad and I've also cut down a bit on amount of food (had a sedentary week with loads of paperwork to plough through). Plus cut down a bit on the cheese.
Not sure what my liver is up to as there are rises between meals as well as the increased FBG.
Rant over - going to sit down a bit after lunch and have a look at food and trends to see if I can spot a pattern
Have put a posting on good afternoon / evening thread Vicky. X hope your well. How is @tina_marie and @eldergarth today?

Quitting smoking may add to spikes in your BGL's. It is a stressful time and the body sometimes reacts to this in peculiar ways. Cortisol, released from the adrenal glands during stress cause the liver to push glucose into the blood stream as a coping mechanism. Illness, dehydration and sleep deprivation may also trigger this response.Good Morning, my good friends from me Johnny on PC No 1 a public computer at Tate South Lambeth Public Library,
I'm on Day 2 of my Smoking Quit now!
Although I've been recording some impeccable blood glucose readings I have noticed pronounced "spikes" in my blood glucose levels in the last few days. Last night I went to bed at approximately 8:00 Post Meridian BST and woke up at 1:15 ante meridian BST this morning and about 15 minutes later I had 2 tomato sandwiches both within 20 minutes of each other. My blood glucose, a considerably long time after, was 16.4 Millimoles Per Litre then many hours later it fell to 4.4 millimoles per litre. At about 6 or 7 ish this morning it was frozen on 9.0 Millimoles Per Litre then 7.7 then 7.9. This fluctuations aren't healthy and have had me immensely worried. I'm going to have to try the LCHF diet again, and stick to it this time, showing better motivation and see if that makes a difference. I haven't had sugar in coffee this morning only Sainsbury's Sucralose Sweetener tablets, 2 in each mug.
I think I'm doing OK but there's a significant room for improvement and I@m approaching Day 3 of my Smoking Quit, too!
Have a lovely day.
Love and Hugs,
From Johnny x X x.
