Type 2 Life

Just back from hosp son recovered enough to eat a bar of chocolate and drink Irn Bru. He has a huge black eye which has closed and his face is all scraped where he hit the carpet, burst lip too but he seems OK otherwise. He's to see neurologist later on but they think the episode was caused by a bad ear infection that he's had for weeks now. What an awful fright we got. Thanks @Diamum5972 and @mo53 for your good wishes, I'm sure that they helped :)

My 1st posting in here and hope you don't mind an intruder.
Husband and son have the dreaded lurgy (man flu) at the moment, so I am trying my hardest to stay out of their way, it would help if we lived in a mansion!!

I don't know how to do the @_______, but just want to send best wishes to everyone, especially those having extra problems at the moment.

You are very welcome here @doolallylady this is a good thread to come to chat. Thank you for your good wishes and commiserations on the poorly spouse & son! p.s you can tag someone by typing @IMMEDIATELY followed by their username, no spaces look at where I've tagged you in the first sentence

There you are your tag worked perfectly ! I don't know about your hubby but mine shouts at me when I'm Ill (and he's usually the lovliest man) then when he's ill its like no-one has ever suffered like him. Hope your hubby recovers soon, no doubt your son will perk up tomorrow :)

I know exactly what you mean, it's as though you do it just to annoy them. As long as he's not too perky in the red light district!!

Big hugs to @13lizanne. Hope he's ok and has a quick recovery. FBG 5.0 mmol/l today. I slept 14 hours last night and still feel zapped, I wake up "sleep drunk" where you look as if you've had a good few but no alcohol. It's not a pleasant feeling, staggering after a long kip. My main trouble is hypersomnia not insomnia - I sleep like a brick but find it a struggle to stay awake. :)

@doolallylady - Hi and Welcome, the more the merrier. :) @13lizanne - How are you doing Anna? Bet, your b.s. been through the roof today. Sending you HUGS -:):)
Hi William, feeling a bit better now that I've seen my son tucking into chocolate and his favourite Irn Bru thanks. Strangely, my blood was 4.1 at 2pm mind you I hadn't eaten since breakfast at 7am Hubby and I have had a chat with our other two sons and had a cuppa & cheese&oatcakes so feel better all round. Thanks William, Eddie & everyone for the hugs. They definitely help xx

It's a lovely sunny day out there - I've missed it. I've not been out in days but as I live on my own I do need to do things. My sisters have been helping me out recently but I hate depending on them. :)

@eddie1968 - Hope you don't mind me asking? Is it medication making you groggy?:)
No - I take insulin and my sugars are good. I've had an overnight sleep test done in hospital and am waiting on results. They think I have a sleep disorder, probably Obstructive Sleep Apnoea. It means you stop breathing a lot during the night so you sleep a lot and as you don't get a proper kip you can feel tired even after 10 hours+ sleep. It's treatable, you get a CPAP machine that forces air into your lungs while you sleep.

I went out at 9am to do my least favourite thing = Grocery shopping!! I always have a "strop" because have to buy healthy food. Anyway, had something 'naughty' whilst out for my lunch. So, I am as happy as a bunny!!!

I have eaten healthy for years now, lost a lot of weight. During the transition of eating garbage to healthy you feel like a drug addict trying to not give into naughty carb laden food lol.:p
