Type 2 Life

@13lizanne - when I sit down, lay in bed or stand still the pain begins - I have to keep moving. The T.E.N.S machine has little effect now, but wearing Heat Pads do have some effect. My Mother had Osteoarthritis in the spine and hips and I saved her 3 wheel walker and wheelchair (in the attic) - so might come in useful for me!! My fasting was not too bad this morning at 7.3 (better than yesterday's 7.6) and I am still not taking the Dapagliflozin (5 days stopped it) staying static at 42 units of Insulin and 4 x 500mg Metformin a day.

That must be really difficult for you William. Sending you ginormous hugs, wish they were magic!

Hello @liam1955 i totally agree with @13lizanne it must be very difficult for you. How on earth do you manage? You must get exhausted trying to keep moving. Big hugs from me too. :)

I've been swimming and swam solidly for 1 hour and did 45 lengths so I'm pleased with that.

Thanks @mo53 - Just got to keep going and when I get my appointment to see the Rheumatologist hopefully there will be a remedy/solution. These bombings in Brussels is terrible, I have put off going to Paris - which was a birthday present treat for my 'special birthday' last year. Good that you've got back into your swimming routine. And have you gone back on your LCHF also? Thanks for the HUGS from You and @13lizanne.

@liam1955 it's that tablet. I'm only on half a day.
I was a cripple for months on it.
I've never had mobility problems, ever.
I was in a right state. Very unhappy too.
Any nonsense and it will go in the bin.
I'm only persevering as need the weight off. :-)

@liam1955 this appointment is taking a long time coming. I hope they have a solution for you or at least something which eases your pain. Yes you are right about Brussels. Frightening! My son flies from Heathrow later in the week so I started to get anxious. Yes I'm hoping to get back on track with LCHF. I'm aiming for no slip ups today. I'll let you know tonight if I've managed. :)

@ickihun - I agree with you completely. I'm not taking it haven't done for 5 days, and might increase Insulin tomorrow by another 2 units as my fasting was 7.3 today. It's all trial and judgement trying to get an even balance of things.:)

Hi all, lovely to hear from you @hankjam . I've been discharged today from the plastics dept at the hospital as my ear is healing really well, hugely relieved  Work is rather stressful at the moment, so I'm counting the hours until the Easter holidays

@liam1955 I am relieved your ok.
It sounds like your on top of everything.
I just didn't want you getting that nastiness I had. I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. I didn't see it mentioned in side affects. Did you?

@ickihun - Aw Bless You. You are such a lovely/caring person, we are "blessed" on this forum to have such a caring group as us.:D The 3 things pointed out to me by the GP was: Burning Pee , Backache and Thrush if I get any 1 of these 3 (or all 3) I had to stop it immediately.

My next question is to ask @mo53 if you know if Rodman was going away at all? Because @13lizanne and I have noticed he has not been on the threads for several days, we have tagged him a few times and sent him a private message, asking if he us alright? Do you know anything @mo53?

Yes @liam1955 ive just read through the thread and you are right his last post was 6 days ago when he said good morning to you, 13lizanne and myself . He never mentioned a holiday.

Yo @Alzebra, thanks for the note. Sorry to read about your BP and glad to read the recovery is good and on going. That must have been a bit of a fright... to be added to the stress of teaching from all sides... roll on easter and not just the eggs (no!). Glad to see wine glass is still large and half full.

Evening all - I'm back - looking forward to catching up with you - @liam1955 sorry to hear you aren't feeling the best - I hope you feel better soon ;)
