Type 2 Life

@Hiitsme has your doc considered that you might actually be type 1 or 1.5?

@13lizanne Yes I have put this to my GP and I said if I lost any more weight I would be straight back to see him and asking for tests. He said I don't fit the profile for late onset Type 1. But I will keep an open mind particularly if my blood sugars go up.

@Hiitsme if I walked that much I would have low trigs too!
Can you reduce your walking a little bit but nothing huge?
Your walking will be doing so much good.
Reduce it a tiny bit and see how your trigs fare.
Everything in moderation is good.
Carb tolerance is brilliant. Your metabolism is running high so it's breaking down your food quickly. Low trigs due to just that.
I guess you just need a little tweek and dr will be happy.
I'm confident you can do it.
Protein is a good weight adder. Ask any good bodybuilder. They limit their walking/running. They even reduce their water intake near a competition for better muscle definition. They know how to get the best out of their body, when needed.
Some of the bodybuilding magazines have good tip bits.

Thanks @ickihun
I do think I am probably overdoing the walking. It's been great to eat more. I use a fitbit so that has encouraged me to walk more but will probably cut it down a bit. My husband says he has a lot more energy on our present diet so he's happy with it.

Yes I was the HbA1c thingy one :) not to worry it's a shame it's not me losing my last stone yet
Having read the thread properly, I can now say "congratulations" on a fantastic HBA1C result @13lizanne. I am more than a little envious!
And I'm sure that last stone will shift so really I was just congratulating you in advance. ....

Oh William @liam1955 how could you leave us. We love the bones of you.

Hi. I'm hitting 6s lately.
When I'm strict lchf I hit 5s and odd 4s.
When I strict lchf I still don't lose eeight and feel dizzy from time to time.
Happy with 5s or 6s as long as no 7s.
It's very difficult to do anything regimented in this house.
I like lchf but not if it makes me feel not right. I'm happy on 50-100g carbs. :-)

Fives and sixes are within the non-diabetic range ickihun most of mine are 5s too our bodies tell us when we go too low (or too high) and I don't compare my readings with anyone else now. If I had Clive's readings ID be dead!!:)

Hi - Missed You All Kind People and you know who you all are:):):):):):):):):) Don't ask why? Because I feel an "idiot" - and No Comments on this Please!

It is gorgeous here in York, got all Windows open. But, had a frost this morning. Was up at 4am (went to bed at 1.30am) my pain is worse than ever and I feel like a Pyschopath! I went off the rails yesterday and ate a pack of 6 Tunnocks Wafers (Richard does not know) and before bed blood sugar was 12.5 and this morning's fasting 6.1:D Not sure if everybody that I followed is back in my favourites?? If not? Do tell me - Thanks:)

Hi everyone,
Beautiful weather here, I even pegged out this morning without a cardi and with sunglasses.

Just did an average on 30 tests and used the converter and the result is (drumroll please)
hbac1 = 5.9 or 41.3 mmol/mol :):)
I just hope I did it right.

@liam1955
To answer the question re the retinopathy test, yes it was the 1st one. How are the injections and pain levels going? Hope you are seeing an improvement or will see one shortly.

6.1fbg is nothing short of miraculous considering the Tunnocks fest William, if you're going to have a binge good choice making it a Scottish product one :) I have to admit to a packet of Tesco own brand ready salted crisps yesterday- but I managed to refuse the Thornton's brownies. Watching hubby and friend scoff them was torture!

@doolallylady - Well Done on the results from your Retinal Screening and Karen that is good - 42 - 47 is Prediabetic Category and below 42 is Normal Category.:)

@liam1955 William I do sympathize. You're a brave chap. Let us knoe what we can do to help. Distraction works for me in mild pain but I guess at my worst I appreciated a soothing med so I could sleep off for a few comfortable hours.
In the past I've used a herbal sleeping tablet but I wasn't in physical pain so not sure if as effective.
I know you like herbal tea.
Chinese herbalist can offer some solutions. I know injections new but someone has to be the first to get good combinations. Take nothing strong.
I've used ginseng in the past and helped with internal pain. Damaged ovary due to appendicitis.
Research it mate. See what you can find for the interim. Hugs. Vicky :-)

I like Thorntons Brownies as well and their Brazil Nut Toffee too. I would of put 1 Brownie out per person. Am not a crisp person, cheesy wotsits - yum -yum

@ickihun - I rang the GP Surgery yesterday and they rang me back to confirm that I can take TRAMADOL 50mgs no more than 3 a day but only take when really needed. The only bad thing is they raise my blood sugars too much and therefore I get false readings! I've been preparing veggies to make soup in the crock pot for 2 hours this lunch time and I find being on the go brilliant. My bed just does not like me and find sat on the sofa fine - I even fall asleep for about 20 -30 minutes. Thanks for caring - Bless You.:)
