I was never given any information like this when I started on gliclazide was just given the tablets and that was it was never given testing strips until last week. I know they don't give testing strips to non insulin but it seems with my type of medication I should have been as soon as I was prescribed the gliclazide. Sorry forgot tosay, I carry jellie babies or dextrose tablets for emergency, small & easy to carry. Goid luck
 
@maureen5752 - Hi. Your point is a valid one. That's what this forum is all about, for everyone to share, exchange, learn, educate and get involved.:)
 
Vicki honey I don't think for one minute that you were the only one chatting on the thread, we were ALL doing it - almost every single one of the dozens of us, me included:) but we do all have to respect the rules of the forum and we do have this thread (and others) to chat on and to answer questions on. The rules are there for a reason . Have a good day with your family and get your sparkle back x

Thanks, I'm not very good on technology, so didn't understand few things, just managed to find the 'rules' on this site so I understand more, sorry lost my top othere day, so much going on, health, death ect. Shouldn't have lost cool so apologies to all have good day everyone

You have a good day too. We moderators do not volunteer to make people's lives a misery but to keep this place in some kind of order so that we can all get help and help others, as needed. While I generally find being a moderator rewarding, it is sometimes difficult being thought of by members as the devil incarnate!!

Partner thinks I should close my account down. I was so enjoying everyone's input. It felt a happy place. Newies felt comfortable posting even high fbg/bgs. A human thread not just a posters avatar and a number.

I felt the same when previous fasting thread was closed, hence why I very seldom posted anything other than my reading. I'm not sure I will continue to post on that thread but do want to stay in contact with other people who are trying to control their diabetes. I've still got lots to learn. I'm not thick skinned and felt really hurt last time.

I will second that without the help and advice from @ickihun and some of the other great fellow sufferers on here I can safely say that I dont think I would be in control of my diabetes
And for this I am trully gratefull to you all
 
@Mauser792 it sounds as though you have got good news to share. Come and share it on this thread . The other is just for morning results. You sound as though you have done really well.:)

I'm not going anywhere william @liam1955. I'll miss you and @13lizanne too much. I hope it will all be forgotten about tomorrow. I had to get the disappointment out of my system. Sorry to join the drama queen club. :(
 
@ickihun - Good, I am so pleased - (it's all a learning curve) and you'll never be No.1 "Drama Queen" that's my title!!:D You can be No.2.:):)
