Type 2 Life

Wow there is so much that I didn't even think about. Kind of stuck in the rut of eating the same things, and same mind set. Thanks for the suggestions everyone ☺ xxx

Hi. A Moderator has clarified as the title suggests, that Type 2 Life is about the ups and downs of Type 2 Diabetes and anything within reason can be posted, but it is not a thread that can supersede other parts of the Forum. It is not a one stop shop for all Type 2's.

Acording to the BBC we all live on chicpeas and lentils
your flatulent from metformin is bad enough without the same problem from your food as well. Thank god I don't feed you that.

I think you are fine @kjc2011 eating the right things is a big part of type 2 life although there are forums dedicated to low carb eating if you want more people to answer your question

Hi @mo53 - How are you today? Where is everyone? Have you gone to bed? Good Night then.:stop:

Hi @maureen5752 and @debrasue - I love watching Horror and Sci Fi Movies. I have my crackers/cheese about 11.30pm but, I have been eating chocolate - so, I will not be at all surprised if my fasting blood sugar is higher tomorrow. I'm watching 'would I lie to you'll. How are you both today?

I think when a thread is started it should attach a warning. What you can and carnt discuss. Everyone is confused. Its starting to look/act unprofessional. Not surprised it's putting people off @Osidge.
Your losing posters hand over fist. Can you prevent this?

Peachy, thanks! I've been eating chocolate too., but dark sugar-free. Not really what I'd call chocolate but far safer for me. :joyful:
I can't watch horror movies - I'm too much of a wuss and I get really bad dreams.
I'm going to have to give the cheese and crackers a miss tonight as I enjoyed them WAY too much last night! I suspect an obsession could ensue.......
Hope you enjoy yours though.
Sweet dreams!

Morning everyone, been waking up at all hours, some kind soul has gifted me with their sore throat, headache and aches. Come on 'fess up, who sent their germs through the internet? Don't know what my readings will be today with the Buttercup SYRUP I'm taking but at this moment I don't care. Posting my FBG on 'Fasting'.
I hope you all have a good day and may see you later.
Karen xx

Just woken up to a gorgeous spring day - pity I have to spend it in a dark and gloomy office!

My FBG was 6.8 10 minutes ago, which is good for me. I wasnt sure of what my 2 hour post prandial, readings were yesterday. I ate breakfast at 7am, so should have tested at 9 but answered a phone call at 8.55 which was longer than i anticipaed, then had to discuss something with a colleague urgently as the result of the phone call, so it was 9.45 by the time I could test, so wasn't worth it.

Then I had planned to eat lunch early as I was in a meeting 2 -4, so knew I couldn't test after 2pm. I thought if I ate just before 12 then I could test just before 2. But a morning meeting overran, so I couldn't eat lunch until 12.40. So no 2 hour testing was possible after that.

I did manage to test 2 houes after dinner, even though I was in the middle of a bodypump class at thd gym, and it was 5.3 which I was very pleased with!

Does anyone else have a job where it's almost impossible to test at times? I was thinking that teachers must find it a nightmare as they only get loo breaks according to the school timetable.

My day today is scheduled to be much easier, only one meeting booked and so I should get back on track with testing.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning all day of work today got the DESMOND course so be interesting to see if there still pushing the carbs .
My fasting levels seem to be getting better again after 7 days of yoyo ing and it seems experiencing phisological insulin intolerance so much more to being diabetic than I ever thought
Have a good day all
